In a world that is changing, and not as dependable as in the past, not as trustworthy., it helps me to know there are those institutions, agencies, companies, etc that do not change. You are one of those providers that still care about your customers and our pets. I can count on when I have a claim you process it and get feed back back to me. Reimbursements are timely. Trupanion rates 1.6 stars on Consumer Affairs and 1.1 3/5 with the Better Business Bureau with 173 complaints
Trupanion was once the #1 in pet insurance, which was why I recommended it to all of my clients. Sadly, it's now the worst, with premium increases of over $100 per mos. annually over the last 2 years for a dog that has been insured since she was 8 weeks old!! At 10 yrs old, her premium was raised to $371 per MONTH!! Trupanion claims that "new claims typically take 5-7 days, with subsequent claims 2-3 days". HA!!! I have had repeat claim that have sat in "claims" as "OPEN" for 7-14 days, then the reviewer changed the name of the "condition" in order to start the deductible again! Fortunately, my Vet went to battle with them! Trupanion has a 1.6 stars on Consumer Affairs and has over 173 complaints with the Better Business Bureau and a 1.1 3/5 stars. There are much better and more affordable plans out there for your new pet...shop around....Buy Beware!

DON'T USE THEM
My dog had a piece of glass in her foot and they denied the claim saying it was a routine checkup. Are you kidding me?? Someone should report this people.

Comparable to a credit card scams
Comparable to a credit card scams. I’m struggling to find value in the insurance since they actually don’t cover anything. In the bright side, they are marginally cheaper than other options but don’t expect to actually have anything covered by them.
