Healthy Paws is the absolute worst in…
Healthy Paws is the absolute worst in pet insurance. I have had my 12-year old dog insured through them since he was a baby. They have crazy increases in premiums each and every year, but this year is the worst. As of August, they informed me that his reimbursement rate will decrease from 80% to 70%, and his monthly premium will increase from $287 to $397, a nearly 40% increase. This company claims to love pets and their owners, but they are obviously only interested in making money. To raise a monthly premium by 40% while decreasing the coverage, especially as the dog gets older and will need the insurance more, is a disgrace. I would never recommend any pet owner use this insurance company.

Spot got the payment for my dog's emergency two weeks after the incident. He was bitten by a copperhead and wouldn't have survived without antivenom and several other drugs. I am very happy with their service.

Presently still awaiting a 6/1/26 claim -today is 6/24/26
Presently still awaiting a 6/1/26 claim (today is 6/24/26). Extremely dissatisfied with this insurance company because last year claim -we had to prove our dogs' illness that occurred despite all the medical records that were sent in. They hav no problem taking the money from your account monthly- but they really do not want to pay on an ER bill as shown by the length of time and we still have not had a response from Embrace. I have used USAA insurance for my car and our houses since the 1970's and had no issues. I also felt as others do that claims were sometimes denied or delayed due to requests for extensive medical history or technical issues with the submission process(especially since I personally sent all of my dogs' history myself from the vets' office). However my rating reflects my explanation and my disappointment in Embrace.
