Great claims experience
I wish I could upload a file (pdf) in the app. Other than that it was convenient, quick, and easy.

A company that cares
I called AKC as I am looking for insurance for my dog. This has been a very tedious process as every insurance company's coverage is different and it is not easy to find the best one that fits your dog/breed's needs. Alison, the AKC representative, walked me through all the details, from limit/ upgrades to plan coverage/exclusions. She is very knowledgeable when I shared some of the concerns or treatments that I may potentially seek coverage for; she patiently provided all the answers I need. Alison genuinely wanted to help and loved what she does. She shared with me that she is very proud of the type of coverage AKC provides. Choosing a company that cares - both customer and pets, are important to me and I am happy to say that Alison helped me finalize my decision to go with AKC!

ZERO STARS - AVOID NATIONWIDE PET INSURANCE!!!
If I could give this policy zero stars I would!. Do not buy through your employer. Nationwide is NOT on your side. They will find a way to deny all claims and consider everything a pre-existing condition. They will require 12 months of vet records when you submit your 1st claim and then you will need to contact them many times with no positive results. We were paying over a $1K/year for 3 pets and they did not cover one claim. They won't even refund the premiums we have paid since 3/1/23. They are happy to take the premiums. DO NOT BUY THIS PET INSURANCE!!!!

Waste of money.
Took well over a month to get it processed and didn’t cover anywhere near the total cost of the charge. It is not even worth it to have insurance. Waste of money. If I only knew it would be this way, I would’ve never paid to have it.

I love this company
I love this company. Embrace was so helpful when my dog injured himself and required several expensive vet visits. Claims and reimbursements were approved and issued so quickly. I am very impressed with how well the claims agents stay on top of their case load.

SPOT insurance is a fraudulent company…
UPDATE: After the response from SPOT I would like to add that every follow-up from SPOT I was given a different reason for denial. I stand by my fact-based review that SPOT is a fraudulent company and will purposely deny claims. SPOT insurance is a fraudulent company that refuses to cover vet bills. My dog was seen for an ear infections related to wet ears. SPOT denied the claim because my dog had previously been seen at an emergency vet when she rolled in grass and had foxtails embedded in her ears. SPOT stated that my pet had a pre-existing condition of ear infections which is untrue because foxtail removal from ears is NOT related to allergies or infections. Spot then claims that my dog was diagnosed with allergies and allergies are a non-curable condition therefore SPOT will not cover any visit or prescription related to allergies. SPOT then continues to state that my dog's ear infection is related to allergies. My dog was NEVER diagnosed with allergies or seen by a vet for allergies until the visit when I submitted a claim. For each claim and each appeal I have filed I have been given a different excuse as to why my claim was denied. I was a customer for a few months which is why I believe my claim was denied because SPOT would not have received enough money in premiums to cover the cost of the claim reimbursement. If the excuses for denial were consistent I would be more likely to believe that SPOT was not a fraudulent company, however they know what to say and how to manipulate medical records to deny payment for a claim.
