Waiting; Continued
So far, I have one vet bill embrace is sitting on waiting for soap notes from the vet who assured me the requested paperwork was provided. If embrace received them they haven’t notified me nor updated the claim status. UPDATE I reached out to the vet again, and they have provided the requested paperwork again, and copied me. So as of the 19th of August, Embrace has had all of the requested paperwork from the Vets. In the interim, my pet has had another visit to the vet, and I have another bill to submit, although I see no reason to hurry and submit it until I see the result of this initial bill. If this doesn't work out beneficially, I will not continue to hold this policy, so there won't be anyone to submit the new claim to. I am trying very hard to be coldly objective in this review. I cannot help commenting, however, on how fast Embrace was to let me know that they had not gotten their monthly payment, as opposed to the speed (lack thereof) they have moved to put my claim into the finished pile and issue a check. I'm guessing another week will finally result in some answer. I will re-submit another review after hearing from them.

We submitted a claim and knew it needed additional information that we hadn't been provided by the vet. The reps at Embrace reached out by email (copying me) and requested the needed documentation which was provided and the claim paid within just a few days.

Good for chronic issues, rescue animals and urgent/emergent care
The monthly payments for my cat were a lot less than I expected considering how few people I know have pet insurance. Having this insurance has been really helpful for my cat because she came to us with poor health and has needed a few vet visits. The insurance became VERY helpful when it came to an urgent care visit. Since being insured through Embrace, I have now recommended other pet owners also get insurance.

Hit and miss claims
Embrace Pet Insurance has been a hit or miss in all my claims. The underwriters seemed to have their decisions out of their playbook. Nothing seemed to be standard. My claims are under the sickness category and, at times, are approved and covered. Other times, they are rejected with a decision of pre-existing condition under "vast and vague" clinical signs, which are both under the "same diagnosis." Their claim decisions are nonsensical in approving and denying the same diagnosis. I have made an appeal that brought me nightmare experiences for them ever to recognize that my claim is "partly" wrongfully rejected. Embrace underwriters ignore state laws, unfortunately.

this is the absolute worst provider out…
this is the absolute worst provider out there. They lured me in with a monthly cost that sounded like a ok deal, only to double it after just one year and keep raising it every year. I have been with them for about 3 years now and haven't had to use them even once as my dog is perfectly healthy, but that doesn't stop them from having me pay now way more than double the initial price. Steer clear fron this one.
