Great insurance company
Great insurance company. The reimbursements take a little while but I understand they have to gather and review medical records for each claim and that I’m not their only client! Customer service has always been helpful as well. I like the ease of submitting claims and that you can add notes to the submission. I also appreciate the wide range of services they cover. Hoping someday they will consider covering herbal and supplemental meds if they are prescribed by the vet.. I know no one does that currently though. I recommended Pets Best when people ask because they know I’ve tried other dog insurance companies and I do think Pets Best is one of the best ones out there!

Trupanion has been amazing
Trupanion has been amazing. We purchased coverage when we first got our puppy by recommendation from our Veterinarian who uses trupanion for her dogs. They are honest and you can be reimbursed right from the vet office! Very easy.

My senior dog is a Calamity Jane
My senior dog is a Calamity Jane and managed to tear her CCL and fracture her jaw within weeks of each other. I had to find specialty care for both issues -- an orthopedic surgeon and a dental surgeon -- in a very high cost-of-living city. I was able to cover the expensive surgeries for both issues thanks to Healthy Paws. The company paid out reimbursement within a few days, in time for me to pay off my credit card. I'm so glad I didn't have to choose which surgery to do. My dog is in recovery and feeling much better now!

10 days processing time per claim, difficulty understanding if Embrace requested updated diagnosis or we were asked to do it, once we received updated diagnosis, we could not attach it to the claim but only upload to the website, required another call to clarify, the initial message on the call said "wait time up to 60 minutes"

Would Recommend
So far have had no issues, claims subimssion is very easy and reimbursements have been pretty fast. Not really sure I understand the point of the wellness rewards program, since the price difference in plans is about the same amount that I would pay the vet for the care, but I have been happy with the injury/illness plan that we use.
