I have no experience with pet insurance, so when my puppy broke her elbow and needed surgery I was unsure how the claim process would go. I'm pleased to say that it went very well. Working with Spot and submitting a claim was very easy.

MetLife has excellent coverage
MetLife has excellent coverage. I took my cat to our vet, submitted my claim ( which was very easy) and was reimbursed very quickly. Well worth it for me. I have 2 cats.

Expensive but worth it!
Honestly, was thinking of dropping our insurance due to it being expensive and a little too much for our budget. But, boy, am I glad I didn't cancel! Our fur baby required emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. The total was going to be $8000 , and the hospital wanted at least half up front. Without Trupanion I don't know what we would have done. Within 20 minutes of the hospital contacting them, 90% of the bill was paid!What a relief in a very stressful situation!
