claims process is horrible and customer service never followed up calling me back. I had to make several phone calls and emails to just keep getting the runaround and they kept denying my claims even though I provided all necessary documents. This company likes to take you money but does not like to pay any claims. I would highly NOT recommend this pet insurance company to anyone!

The best option by far
After using a few other pet insurance companies and having less than ideal experiences, I can confidently say that Prudent Pet far exceeds the low bar I had set for expectations. First, they’re affordable! The coverage is excellent for the price I pay. They’ve covered things I didn’t think would be covered. The claims submission process is easy, and the turnaround on re-payment is just days most of the time. Other insurers I’ve dealt with I’ve had to wait weeks or even months to be reimbursed! Most importantly, a human actually answers the phone when you call and everyone I’ve dealt with there over the past few years has been so pleasant and so kind no matter the question or issue. I really can’t say enough good things and as a dog owner for the last twenty years, I recommend them to everyone.

We didn’t really need pet insurance much until this past year when our dog got sick. During such a stressful time trying to focus on getting him healthy again, Healthy Paws made the process seamless and easy. They were honestly the least of our worries. The claims process was simple, fast, and reliable. Claims were reviewed and approved very quickly, and the explanations provided were always clear and detailed. SPOT DOES NOT HONOR IT'S POLICIES!
I've had this insurance for THREE years now and NOT ONE TIME did I get reimbursed for ANY of my dog's claims or wellness visits. I was told that I needed to upgrade my policy to a plan that automatically reimbursed Wellness checks. Well, just over 2 weeks after I upgraded the policy my dog got a wellness check and RIGHT NOW they're coming up with every excuse possible NOT to pay out three invoice for that Wellness Check! I strongly suggest finding any other pet insurance that ISN'T SPOT.
