worst customer service ever, you can not get through the phone lines

Pet's Best denied all of our claims even though we provided them with everything they asked us for. Daisy , a healthy dog age 3, was covered beginning april 2024. we submitted claims in june and july, to make sure our deductable was met. each claim was denied. by the way let me say that my husband and i tried for 10 days straight to get someone to answer the phone. i kept my speaker one for several hours in case someone answered. we never could get through. i finally got through by pushing the number for vet help. told them to cancel my policy and they hooked me up with Richard, very nice young man. i would never recommend Pets Best to anyone

Healthy and Happy @ Ten Years of Age

Genesis has used Trupanion since she was a puppy. As she's gotten older she acquired allergies. She needs medication and once a month allergy shots. I'm grateful for Trupanion who continues to pay for those necessities. They handle 90% of the bill. I'm a widow and don't think I could afford my best friend (BFF) if it weren't for them.

Great Pet Insurance!

MetLife did an awesome job processing my claims and reimbursing me any money that I paid out of pocket. But please keep in mind 1: You have to pay out of pocket the day of the visit. 2: the claiming process states 5-10 business days for processing but takes more like 15-20 business days (just have some patience). 3: Having a pet is expensive so have a rainy day fund just in case. Other than that the customer service representatives are amazing and very understanding. You get what you pay for so a good tip: Don’t pay for a cheaper premium plan. Pay for a more expensive one so you’re not paying so much out of pocket during your pet visits. The reimbursement will come in handy later on so you don’t feel like your pockets are completely empty.

Conflicting information

It took a VERY long time. I was told some things weren't covered as they were part of the wellness charges. And then when I requested the itemization I was told everything was covered except for a med that wasn't FDA approved. It was very confusing with the conflicting information.

I like the pet insurance the only thing…

I like the pet insurance the only thing I don’t like is that the wellness is very limited when I feel like it should be unlimited or a higher limit especially since they animals have to get so many shots every year and when they are puppies they have to be really fully checked and everything else.

I been an Embrace customer over 10…

I been an Embrace customer over 10 years. They are the best. My two Boston Terriers passed and now I have a Mini Golden Doodle. I had several companies asking me to join but I said no. I came back to Embrace. I will refer them to my family and friends

Poor value for the money

Poor value for the money. I bought a policy when my dog was a puppy, thinking it would be a prudent move after spending a fortune on care in my last dog's final year. However, I've never had it cover a single thing. In my dog's first year, he had a few minor issues - an eye infection, giardia when he flew over from Europe, some tummy upset. Just like children, dogs get minor illnesses as puppies. They're hardly "chronic" or pre-existing conditions. If I have diarrhea after eating food that disagrees with me, it isn't a pre-existing condition. The last straw was when my policy renewed this year. My premium has now almost doubled since I got it. My dog is only 3 1/2. For a few dollars more it would now be as much as my own monthly health insurance premium. This is unacceptable. Who can afford it? If it's this high at age 3, what will it be when he's 6? I may as well just open a savings account for a rainy day fund. But worst of all, shame on Embrace for making it difficult to cancel the policy. It cannot be done online and you have to call and sit on hold. Then, despite making it clear that I could not be persuaded to keep the policy, I got cold transferred to a "retention rep" who also tried to get me to keep the policy. They're just doing their jobs, but it's tacky as hell and really off-putting and cringe. Do better, Embrace. What a waste of three years of premiums. I got nothing for my money. Absolutely nothing.
