I was really nervous to submit a claim
I was really nervous to submit a claim, because I have done them in the past and they were a nightmare. This was so smooth and simple and went by so quick. I love this.

Waste of money
Everything, Every. Single. Thing. was somehow coded under "pre-existing condition". Not once did anyone listen to me when I called to explain what the Vet procedure was for. ASPCA connected everything to some pre-existing condition and never approved a claim. Ever. I was basically paying ASPCA to tell me that they will not cover anything that I have done for my pet. Urine test, nope, Fecal test, nope. Blood work, nope, X-rays, nope. Ultrasound, nope. Medication, nope. teeth cleaning with a cyst removal, nope. My dog has never had health issues, still doesn't but somehow they have linked all of this together to something they call pre-existing. They never explained what the pre-existing condition is and never backed down from defending their decision. Never again, never recommend. Cancelled immediately.

Look at health paws
In just two years, Trupanion has raised our rates from around $100 to $211 per month. We have a healthy 5-year-old Weimaraner with only one major claim when he was one. Additionally, Trupanion has a $200 deductible per illness, doesn’t cover office visits, and only reimburses 90% of costs. We’ve had a much better experience with Healthy Paws, which is much more affordable (60 dollars per month) and has a $200 annual deductible. Trupanion, please don’t respond with generic explanations about keeping up with pricing trends—I know prices haven’t doubled industry-wide, and Healthy Paws doesn’t operate this way.

Sent everything that was asked for and…
Sent everything that was asked for and still closed my claim saying they needed more information. They used to be really good. I hope this is just that one employee and not what to expect from now on. If so, I'd have to strongly consider a different insurance.
