Dont get pets best.
Taken over a month to process a claim twice. Denied both times anyway. No active customer support. Attempted to call multiple times. Just ended up waiting for half an hour and hanging up. Explanation of denial left to the customer to dig through lengthy legal documents to understand. It seems like if its going to cost the insurance any amount of money more than youre giving them its denied. My policy said it included prescription medication but was denied because of a loophole classified as cruciate ligament. Just not happy at all.
Horrible Coverage with Pets Best
Do not waste your time with this company. I started my new puppy on this insurance at 5 months old and my first (3) claims were denied due to "pre-existing conditions". Each claim took over 1 month to even get an email back which was apologizing for the delay and they all just provided the same rejection response. After trying to file an appeal for the last claim I just received an email saying they are terminating my coverage the following day. Horrible response time, customer service and overall experience with PetsBest.
I will probably gift Pet's Best Insurance for Christmas to my newest grand-dog's family
Without Pet's Best Insurance we would not have been able to afford treatment for our 11 year old mobility service dog--despite the years of dedicated service he has given us. We may have had to make an end of life decision last January when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was having seizures. Having insurance allowed for options to evaluate the situation and decide on treatment. Treatment has not been cheap (over $20k to date), but worth it when I see him enjoying life and initiating play with his newest cousin (a 1 year old very healthy lab). Filing claims is very easy and now it takes very little time before I am reimbursed. We went years without ever using the insurance, but it gave me peace of mind knowing that we could handle health issues if they arose.
