DO NOT USE TRUPANION IF YOU WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING COVERED
Trupanion has been horrible and I regret using them. I switched from healthypaws who were amazing because trupanion keeps rates consistent as the dogs age. They have covered not a SINGLE claim for my dog and been outrageous with claiming "prior disorder". For example, she has throw up before, so when she got a nasty infection they said they couldn't cover it because since she's thrown up before this was a prior disorder. She had to get an allergy shot and because she once had a hot spot they said they wouldn't cover it because it was a prior disorder. It is ridiculous. I completely regret switching and will be switching away from Trupanion. It's great the monthly payment is cheaper but they don't cover anything so it's not worth it!!!

I had been receiving multiple denials under Trupanion by Chewy's so-called "complete" plan. The plan is far from complete and does not cover much. They claim to cover 90% of your vet bills with a $250 deductible, but this is misleading advertising. That 90% coverage applies to a very small list of things they will cover. The majority of my vet expenses turned out to not be covered, and they were normal routine care that appeared to be covered by the descriptions in the advertising. I spoke to a manager to try to get them to reconsider claims, but that was a complete waste of time. This is not a service I would ever choose to purchase again.
