Above and Beyond the best Company…
My GSP has had several issues that are difficult to diagnose and we seem to be going through process of elimination with his Vets. There are no words to describe the help and assistance I have received from Embrace. They go above and beyond as far as customer service, prompt attention to claims and just all around a great company!

Best Claim Process Ever!
I submitted a small claim knowing it would go against my deductible, but wanting to know how the claim response was. It was better than my own personal insurance in clarity, timeliness, and interaction with my (pet's) provider. Wow!

Pets Best is the BEST
Tootsie is on thryoid medication which has been a lifesaver for her -- she has lost weight, has more energy, and is more alert. Having PetsBest insurance helps with monthly medication costs plus the periodic bloodwork. Every month I submit the claim and it is promptly processed and deposited into my checking account. PetsBest is the BEST! Thank you.

Avoid Embrace Pet Insurance
We had an incredibly frustrating experience with Embrace Pet Insurance. Their policy coverage made absolutely no sense. Despite paying thousands in premiums, none of the care for our two bulldogs was covered because they used "similar symptoms" from their initial waiting period to deny every single claim. They apply symptoms universally across all claims, which feels like a loophole designed to avoid paying out. What’s worse, our premiums went up mid-policy, adding insult to injury. When we decided to cancel, they tried to offer us an even higher premium to stay, that would cover more. It’s clear they care more about profit than providing actual coverage. I’m shocked that USAA refers them. Based on our experience and many similar complaints from others, I wouldn’t recommend Embrace to anyone. Save your money and find a company that truly supports pet owners. Embrace, you don't need to reply to this review. This is for others not you.

We had a very catastrophic event with my dog. After surgery and hospital the cost was over 14k. They reimbursed me just at 12k. I felt the claim was handled very expeditiously and fairly. Unfortunately our dog passed in recovery :(.

Check the spelling of all words on veterinary invoices.
My dog has been covered by this insurance since he was three months old. He is now starting his third insurance year. He is a retriever and while running for a toy, his legs went out to the sides like doing the splits! It was awful & he was in a lot of pain. When I called Trupanion the representative was very compassionate and kind. She advised me to take him to the vet. I took him to the vet the next morning and they did x-rays. I paid for his service upfront because they did not have the direct pay software with Trupanion… In fact, all the Vet’s that Trupaion’s website referred as direct pay with Trupanion Software did not have that system set up! I submitted the claim for my dog’s, x-rays and exam. I got a reply that they received the claim and I would be hearing from them shortly. When I checked back on the claim after 48 hours, it still showed that it was pending and that it would take longer than usual due to it being his first time at that vet. A couple weeks later, my account still showed the claim as pending, so I called again. I found out that the invoice had a typo on my dog’s name. The vet had put the letter “S” instead of the letter “F” at the beginning of his name. I never received a notice from Trupanion that there was a problem with the claim, due to the name not matching the name on my pets policy due to the first letter being an “S” instead of an “F”. I was told that I would have to file a brand new claim after the veterinary fixed the invoice typo and wait for them to review the claim again. I submitted the exact same invoice from the vet with the “S” now changed to an “F”. I think it’s awful that Trupanion did not notify me that there was an issue with his name and a possible typo. In fact when I called, they said I sent in a claim for a new dog that was not on my insurance!! All this due to a simple typo!! I only have one dog. The dog, the description of the dog, and the x-rays Trupanion received from the vet are all about my dog. My one and only pet that I have. This dog has been insured by Trupanion his whole life so far. Lesson I learned…always check spelling! I hope by writing this review, it will help Trupanion in the future to notify their customers when there’s a problem with the invoice and claim. Especially one like this that is an obvious typo! This was a very simple click on a keyboard and the veterinarian changed that “S” to an “F” immediately while I was on the phone with them. The Vet Hospital was apologetic however, I have waited over two weeks and I still would have no idea that there was an issue if I had not called Trupanion again.
