I feel like Pumpkin has been very helpful and honest, and is allowing us to maintain our pet in the best health possible. Their claim review process is pretty quick, and we receive payments with a reasonable turn around time.

Adjusters don't read attached documents…
Adjusters don't read attached documents or notes. This is the second claim where the adjuster failed to thoroughly read attached documents and associated notes. Because of this they have denied a claim because the claim system didn't have a matching diagnosis in the subject pull down menu and only paid 50% of the submitted items on a second. I wish I had researched this company better before purchasing policies.

Easy and prompt claim processing
The process to make a claim is easy, and I had my reimbursement promptly with no fuss. I was happy with the level of reimbursement for a tooth surgically extracted. Definitely worth the premiums.

I was originally very happy, but then put in a claim.
I was originally very happy with Prudent until I had to file a claim. They are the cheapest by far but you get what you pay for. They made it difficult to file a claim and they did not cover the actual vet visit for an emergency puncture wound. So read the fine print as they seem to be well versed in hiding what they don’t cover.

The company lied about coverage and refunded their premium money when they didn’t want to stand by their policy. I have already filed a complaint with the California department of insurance regarding this.
