Great customer service
The customer service agents are always friendly, patient and knowledgeable. We've had insurance thru Embrace on our pup for 8 years. Submitting claim and reimbursement very efficient and easy. Had a few claims last year which were less than the total monthly premiums. Premiums went from about $100 to $195 this year so almost doubled. Based on aging pup and dental claim, it will probably match out. Not sure what will do next year if the premiums go way up again. Otherwise, very happy with Embrace.

Beware and never get this pet insurance
I wouldn't recommend this pet insurance to anyone!! Negative stars would be better. I previously had Nationwide with my other dog and they were amazing. First, they NEVER answer their phone in a reasonable time. You have to wait and wait. BUT if you put you are a new customer they will answer. Second, they deny EVERYTHING! My dog hurt his leg and had an ear infection. Denied. They said not covered. I have had them for years and NOTHING has been covered. Last, they just keep raising rates for not covering anything! They are the most expensive insurance out there. Do you research!

They lie about the actual deductible…
They lie about the actual deductible price. Whatever you submit towards it, they only count 80%. It's just a scam. I've paid almost 2k towards my dog and they've only cover $80 dollars. You can get better deals elsewhere. EDIT: No matter what they comment on here, if you call they are unhelpful. Basically if it says $1000 deductible, you have to pay $1250 to even be eligible for any help because they don't even count all that you spend toward your pet. It's all a lie and they don't understand how deductibles work.

Guessing Game
Pros: - it is easy and intuitive to submit claims - employees are friendly and pet-focused Cons: - the 1st claim can take over four weeks to review and process - the time it takes to process subsequent claims varies; sometimes reimbursements only take 48 hours, but you will likely wait the full three weeks on average - lack of communication when claims are “in review” - double check your initial intake paperwork for “pre-existing conditions” I met my deductible, have a $50 healthy credit, and $1,000 of dental illness coverage. I submitted a claim on 10/21 and am still waiting. When my husband and I called to inquire about the wait, we were told, “Embrace didn’t ask for additional documentation. I don’t see why this shouldn’t be processed within our 10-15 business day window.” Not exactly helpful. Please understand how frustrating it is to front thousands of dollars on top of monthly premiums, only to feel it’s going into the abyss when our babies are in need. I wish there was a better process in place for pet insurance across the board.

Filing a claim is relatively easy
Filing a claim is relatively easy, turn around on reimbursement was very quick. My only comment, not meant to be negative, is I would like to see the EOB on the claim and also an easier way to see the benefits, just like for a human :)
