After initial claim, claims processed quickly

I called to check on my first claims ever submitted after almost 3 weeks had gone by. I ended getting responses on some of them that day but a week later still waiting to hear about the rest. Will be better able to give a review after all claims are processed. The phone rep was great. I've had the policy for almost 4 years but just now needing to use. Update: most of my claims have now been processed and money was direct deposited!

SCAM ARTISTS AND LIARS

WOW! I was really hoping this insurance company would be the right fit. THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS! I called repeatedly before I bought my insurance and was told the dental cleaning would be covered. IT WAS NOT because of "pre-existing conditions" I repeatedly asked about the Pre-existing dental issues and was told it would be covered. IT WAS NOT. ALSO, when I did get reimbursed, I had my account set up for a direct deposit. When I talked to someone on the phone they said they deposited it but my bank rejected it. MY BANK NEVER RECEIVED ANY DEPOSIT AND IT WAS NOT REJECTED! THEY LIE ABOUT SENDING MONEY! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I did talk to your "customer service" and it was an absolute joke. Unless you're willing to include pre-existing dental care LIKE YOU PROMISED WHEN I TALKED TO YOU BEFORE THE PROCEDURE, I have nothing more to say other than I will be looking for new insurance that DOES NOT SCAM CUSTOMERS. How do ya'll sleep at night? Your BS "care" is just that.

Frustrated with call takers

I have been with the company for 2 years and am so far satisfied. The only complaint I have at this time is when I have to call the company to ask a question I absolutely can not understand the person on the other end of the line, I guess to cut costs these positions have gone over seas to foreign countries. I previously was very pleased to talk to the ASPCA call takers as they obviously lived in the United States and could be very well understood. Very frustrating to try to talk to someone that cannot be understoodf.

Awesome company to work with

I’ve had a wonderful experience with this company. It pays for everything it says it will and even things I wasn’t expecting. It’s fast and easy.

80% coverage and only 60% covered. Disgustingly Misleading

Rather than covering 80% of the entire vet bill like the wording of my contract heavily implies, the company decided to pay 80% of each individual piece of my dogs surgery. Leading to only a little over half of the entire bill being being covered which is absolutely disgusting and misleading. Additionally it took over a month to process my claim with no explanation when I had everything submitted immediately after the surgery. I’m extremely unhappy with this insurance company.

Wouldn't cover a $7000 surgery because…

Wouldn't cover a $7000 surgery because of an unrelated issue. Took them past the surgery date to do a pre-authorization for the surgery then completed it after i gave them the bill post-surgery. If they cant find anything pre existing, they will say they didnt receive enough medical documentation on the pet. I got them because they were offered through USAA. Don't be fooled, they are nothing like USAA.

I love spot pet insurance , they are fast, easy, and effective. I just recently submitted a claim from a incident that happened with my dog on November 15th and my claim has already been settled.

Triples Premiums When Pets Get Sick

My review was previously removed under false pretenses by Petplan despite my providing proof to Trustpilot of my experience. I am reposting to warn other pet parents. I will provide proof AGAIN to Trustpilot if asked, but they seem to be acting like Yelp, letting companies pay to remove accurate bad reviews. Changed their name from Petplan to escape the terrible reputation acquired by Petplan after it was purchased in 2019 by a hedge fund that immediately changed longstanding customer-friendly policies and began hiking premiums on sick pets the moment they have owners over a barrel, where they can’t cancel due to the pet now having a pre-existing condition. Google “pet plan acquired hedge fund Philadelphia Inquirer” to read the article where their new CEO admits all this. Please also read all the Trustpilot reviews for Petplan, not all customers will have time to repost them as reviews for Fetch now that they’ve changed their name to escape their deserved horrible reviews. Here’s my experience, which they attempted to get removed under false pretenses by telling Trustpilot I wasn’t a real customer—you can see this review is already verified by Trustpilot for Petplan but I’m sure they’ll try to get it removed again here now. After over 10 years as a loyal customer with multiple pets insured, on New Year’s Eve they raised my premium to $250/month for ONE 10-year-old cat. You can pay for your animal’s entire life and never have a claim for years and years, and the instant you start using the insurance as your pet gets older, they will do their best to make it unaffordable, so that you have to cancel and they pocket all the money you paid before ever needing the insurance. They will claim this isn’t true, but they have changed their policy since selling out to a hedge fund in 2019 and now "increase premiums or reduce coverage based on your individual pet's claims history." You can see this in their own words if you Google “Fetch pet insurance notice to California residents.” In other words, they will kindly allow you to pay them every month while your pet is healthy, but as soon as you need to use the insurance, they will make sure you cannot afford to keep it and are left uninsured. Changing this policy without notifying policyholders is a violation of my state's laws and I am exploring all legal options, so I have declined to identify myself to PetPlan but am leaving this review here to warn others.
