Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my Bernedoodle Wallis since she was a young puppy. I had heard enough true stories of parents that had to make the difficult decision to save their pet or, or the awful choice of letting them go due to the cost of the medical procedures. We have been fortunate that Wallis has been healthy but she has had some medical issues resulting in costs well outside routine vet visits. Most recently Wallis required surgery. These costs are no different than the costs for a human and Healthy Paws covered the costs exactly like the policy I have with Healthy Paws. In the number of claims I have made over Wallis’s seven years, Healthy Paws has met every claim quickly, usually reimbursing within a few days. There is a heartfelt peace of mind knowing that should Wallis ever need very expensive care I would not have to make the unimaginable decision of whether she gets care or I can’t afford it. Wallis will continue to have Healthy Paws insurance for what I hope is a very long life.
a scam
Constantly increasing monthly premium and then offers no coverage. They will pay out basically nothing and find many work arounds as to why your service was not covered.
Loop holes
I’ve paid my monthly payment for years to only to receive a couple hundred and reimbursements. That’s on top of the thousand’sI have paid the Vet. My most recent claim was for oral surgery, which was over $2K. Not a penny was reimbursed because I did not have my pet enrolled before she was six months of age (she was 1 when I got the policy and now she’s 3), so that particular issue can’t be covered. Really? I should’ve known that my dog was gonna need oral surgery at 3 yrs old when she was 3 months old. Just shady so two thumbs down.

Ridiculous Rates are Doggies Get Older
Prices were reasonable as puppies. Now that doggies are 7 years old, the rates keep increasing substantially. This year was $25 per policy for each doggie. Plus, they advised today to implement a 2.99% credit card fee unless I move to ACH. They are part of CHUBB Insurance Company. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ll just save my premiums and hope for the best with my doggies. Pretty soon the cost will be more that my Medicare Supplement Insurance.
