I had never purchased pet insurance…
I had never purchased pet insurance before, and Steffie helped me tailor an insurance package that would be best for my particular pet. She was able to relate stories about her own pets' needs, which was very helpful. She did not rush me with questions and made sure I was informed before making a choice.

Frustrating to submit 3 invoices as her condition did not improve and xmas eve original vet closed so had to bring her to ER vet. Your software only takes 1 hospital and invoice and yet you state you want all of them together. Impossible. As if this whole experience is not stressful enough.

Not Flexible and Unreasonable
Pet insurance is an incredible resource when it comes to managing the financial burden of unexpected pet-related expenses. However, I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with Embrace Pet Insurance that feels both unreasonable and unfair to loyal, paying customers. The inability to increase the reimbursement percentage and amount on an existing policy without triggering additional waiting periods is unreasonable. This policy effectively turns any pre-existing condition your pet has into a permanent limitation if you wish to adjust your coverage. Additionally it does not consider how accidents may cost more than what the customers anticipated at the beginning of their policy. An embrace representative stated that any increase of policy, regardless of when it’s done will result in current conditions or injuries becoming pre-existing and no longer covered under the insurance. This basically means that you are stuck at the amount you first selected when you initially started your policy. As a paying customer, I find it disappointing that policy adjustments aren’t more flexible, especially when the goal is to provide the best possible care for our pets. While the coverage itself is valuable and reimbursements are reliable, this limitation is worth considering before choosing Embrace.

Mixed reviews
I have submitted 3 claims and 1 precert. The precert and one of the claims were reviewed and reimbursed within a couple days. The turn around time on the completed precert is still in review 9 days past submission. This claim should have been the easiest to review as the precert was completed beforehand. Nine days is a lot of time for a procedure that was out of pocket over $2,000.

Everything was as stated
Everything was as stated. I submitted information that Fetch needed for Nevis' pre-surgery, and received a quick reply. Once surgery was performed, I submitted the final billing and within 2 weeks, I received the 80%, (after deductible) directly 2 my designated account.

Esay & Efficient
Every claims process was incredibly easy and efficient. When my cat passed away, they automatically canceled the policy and credited my account for the prorated amount. Always a positive experience with Pets Best. I have recommended the company to several of my friends and family with pets.
Waste of money
Everything will be a preexisting condition and denied coverage, including curable infections that have been healed. Waste of money.

spot did not cover my valid claim for…
spot did not cover my valid claim for a biopsy ,they denied it check all of thier reviews. I just filled a BBB complaint . Spot responded here but never contacted me . I called 1/07/24 and the representative couldn't locate a manager /supervisor and they also have not responded to my email. Check Spot reviews on yelp ...Revised Statement: It has come to my attention that Spot Pet Insurance canceled my policy as of November 2, 2024, without providing any prior communication, explanation, or refund for unused premiums. On January 13, 2025, I contacted customer service, where a representative appeared unclear about the matter and informed me after an extended call that the issue would be escalated to senior management. Despite this, I have received no follow-up communication or resolution. I subsequently filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). However, Spot Pet Insurance responded to the BBB with a generic statement claiming they are resolving the matter with me, which is factually incorrect. I have initiated all communication, and no manager or higher authority has been made available to address my concerns. Customer service has proven unhelpful, and this lack of transparency and resolution is unacceptable. I am formally escalating this matter by filing complaints with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance (NJDOBI) and the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs to investigate Spot Pet Insurance's handling of this situation. I reserve the right to pursue all appropriate legal remedies should this matter remain unresolved.
