Scam company
My dog ingested a foreign object from the trash, which caused him to vomit. Initially, he vomited a corn cob. Unfortunately, vomiting continued weekly, and the vet ultimately diagnosed him with pancreatitis. Treatment is ongoing, and we may need to perform X-rays. Pet Best Insurance deemed this incident not an accident and denied coverage. This highlights their tendency to find excuses to avoid paying claims. I strongly advise against purchasing insurance from them.

Better than expected
Fairly easy to submit a claim and they give you many months to file. I prefer checks sent over electronic transfer, and the checks arrive in approx. 2 weeks-this is reasonable. Recently, our elderly cat became very ill costing over $3000 in a couple of months. Spot Insurance covered most of these bills without hassle. We are on the 20/80 plan, and in the end, approx 70% of what the vets charged was covered. The four stars instead of five is because of the 50% increase of my premium this year on our dog that has had few claims in 4 years. Additionally, we have the platinum wellness plan which I thought should factor into not having large premium increases. Next year, we may cancel the platinum wellness plan add on because it only makes sense if you have a dental cleaning, and Spot only covers $150 toward the dental cleaning. Dentals cost between $400-800 at most clinics. At least consider counting the overage toward the deductible. The vet bills have not doubled in one year, so I don't understand the rational here and none was provided.

they ask for a reason for the claim but…hard to address claim issues
they ask for a reason for the claim but only give you some choices, none of which resemble the reason for the claim. They simply don't let you say what happened. This is done so they can say that a condition exists which it was just an injury.

Excellent Service and Speedy Claim Reimbursement
I am super impressed with the service and speedy claim process. A prime example is when my dog had surgery. Not only was the claim process easy and the claim reimbursement speedy, but they went a step further to follow up on my dog's recovery. It really meant a lot for Healthy Paws to reach out. Definitely a testament to such a caring company.

Very Sick Dog
Unfortunately, our dog has dealt with health issues for a while now. Pets Best has eased our pain greatly. They are a true partner and have been with us through it all. I don’t know where we would be without them in our corner to support us.

Shelter Dogs Healthcare Ruined Permanently
This pet insurance company has deliberately misleading language in their online sign up process relating to waiting periods. They state that you may not file claims for any condition treated during the waiting period. This would mean claims would be denied if they took place during this period. I found out today that in reality any condition DISCOVERED during the waiting period will not only not be covered for the visit, but will also be logged a pre-existing condition for future denials, even though it occured after the start of the plan. Now with a 180 day term for a consideration of not being pre-existing, our dog has a monthly preventative prescription that will NEVER be covered because Spot relates to that keyword in her diagnosis. Furthermore I am now permanently stuck paying out of pocket with no insurance coverage since at this point these are now all 'pre-existing'. Absolutely heartless scam artists

Rebecca was knowledgeable and personable. She made us feel confident and secure in our choices. She did not rush us into any of our decisions. It was a pleasure working with her.
