Good Service

With our Murphy we received timely response on his health care claim. Although I'm a little disappointed with Cody's claim which I felt should have been taken care of already (guanranteed it was faxed over the Thanksgiving holiday which I think the claim center was closed that Friday) but I should have heard something by the 17th and still wainting.

Trupanion premium increases

I have had Trupanion since my Lab was 8 weeks old. They signed me up at a rate of $33 a month, but within the first year they increased my premium to $45 a month. In the 2nd year of coverage they raised my premium to $51 a month. Now I have just recieved a new notice advising me my monthly rate will be $71 a month. They always claim this not because of claims history but because of higher Vet. costs. Well my Vet has not increased his rates in the last 3 years, but Trupanion has increasd my premiums by over 100%.

Very Satisfied

I've just acquired a second dog and they are both insured with Embrace. Although, I'm a new customer, I have found Embrace to be expeditious in responding to claims and most efficient in keeping me apprised of the status of filed claims and all other matters concerning the wellness of my puppies.

Know The AKC Loop HOLE!!!

WE have had a nightmare with the AKC — We are taking to our State Department of Insurance for review. This company needs to be held accountable. I would suggest any other provider BUT the AKC. I have dropped the AKC insurance because "seperate incidents" the AKC considered one and DENIED my claims! They have PER INCIDENT LOOP HOLE -- WATCH OUT for that! Wish I knew that. Our experience is they even denied euthanasia for my beloved pet. This is with teh AKC WELLNESS PLAN as well -- the most enriched plan available. I thought I had good coverage EXCEPT the AKC has a HUGE LOOP HOLE that puts everything as ONE INCIDENT and then they DENY the claim- even when they have separate illnesses and DOS listed on the EOB they PREPARED and clearly they are not the same incident. STAY AWAY from this provider if you truly want to have your pet insured. Many other providers with excellent COVERAGE. I found this site fabulous here to be very helpful during my pursuit in finding a new insurance providers for my pups. For myself I selected Embrace that does not have the PER INCIDENT LOOP HOLE!! AKC has been a horrific experience, a huge expense and provided heartache and a PREMIUM cost! I don't wish that on anyone.

Great Service and Fast Processing

Their reps are some of the friendliest people I've ever spoken with on the phone. They've processed my claims quickly and reimbursement has been as expected with zero hassle. Most recently, due to a computer problem on their end, they happened to lose my claim form, but they called and apologized for the problem and proceeded to process my claim within 2 hours of resubmission! That's impressive service by any measure.

No hassles with claim.

Sometime last summer my Labradoodle helped herself to leftover corn on the cob out of the trash. For some reason it took until Thanksgiving week to cause an intestinal obstruction. She had to have emergency surgery. She is almost 4 and I have had Embrace since she was a pup. This was my first claim and I anticipated there may be some hassle. I submitted the paper work and all went very smoothly. They communicated with me frequently with e-mail and I was very pleased. It gives me peace of mind knowing they are reliable and honest.

I am thankful for my ASPCA Pet Health Insurance!

In May 2010, my cat Jack was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus. Getting ASPCA Pet Health Insurance with Continuing Care for Jack was the best thing I did in 2008, when I originally found out about pet health insurance. Now, Jack is happy and healthy and I am submitting regular claims for his treatments. Over the past year, I've found that having a pet with diabetes is expensive, even more because I have other pets who also need to see the vet. The ongoing veterinary expenses piled up quickly and were threatening to become a financial burden. Luckily, I had pet insurance for all my cats. Between his blood tests and the cost of a three-month supply of insulin and syringes, I ended up paying around $650 for Jack's first two visits to the vet. In addition to these expenses, I found out I would have to take Jack in for monthly blood tests and I would have to by insulin every three months. All told, I spend approximately $150 per month to treat Jack's diabetes. Without ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, Jack's diabetes diagnosis would have forced me to make some difficult financial decisions. While Jack's blood tests and insulin are certainly not cheap, recouping a percentage of my out-of-pocket expenses has been critically important for my finances. I have had nothing but positive experiences with my ASPCA Pet Health Insurance policy. Everyone should purchase pet health insurance, even if there doesn't seem to be an immediate need! Planning ahead will sav
