JUST THANK YOU!
Daisy will be ten years old in August of 2020. As she gets older, she is having more issues. But, she is a very important part of our family and we want to give her the very best care that we can. You have been instrumental in helping us do that. We are very greatful!

Easy and fast
I submitted my claim via the ASPCA App it was very simple and fast. Once I uploaded my summary of what happened and the vet bill ASPCA did the rest. They reviewed paper work and reached out to vet for more information. After about a month my claim was approved and payment was sent to me according to my policy

Fast and Not Exclusionary
Every time my almost-8-year-old very active boxer has needed Healthy Paws, they've provided wonderful customer service. They pay promptly and don't hesitate to cover what they say they will cover. They've been amazing!

Very responsive
It has been a really hard time for my lovely chocolate brown Labrador, so many visits to the vets, operations and medication. Nationwide Pet Insurance have really helped to take some of the stress out of it with hassle free claiming. It took a bit longer with the first claim but since then its has been really easy and quick. They always respond super quick to my email questions which is great too, and it is always a very detailed answer.

Comprehensive coverage but unsustainable annual premium increases
As a veterinary professional, I know how valuable pet insurance is and opt to cover both of my cats for peace of mind should they ever need emergency surgery or oncology treatment. Coverage is great as most things are included, but one of my cat's premiums went up 37% this year. When I called to inquire to the steep increase, I was told that it was a combination of an across the board increase for all cats and and increase for her age, as she just turned 5yr. Of course, I can't sustain that kind of increase every year so I asked what I could expect going forward. I was given the yearly percentage increase I can expect every year for the rest of her life (except age 6) - which is anywhere from 4.7-20% each year. Only two increases between now and age 16 would be less than 10%, most are 10-17%. I understand costs increase with age but these increases are much to steep and I can't realistically afford them long term. I'd try to switch insurance companies but she now has one pre-existing condition that won't be covered by anybody else now - so I feel trapped with ASPCA if I want her to have coverage. I don't know how I'm going to find the money for these annual increases, even just in the next 5 years - but it's either that or she gets no coverage. I used to recommend ASPCA insurance to clients at my veterinary hospital, but this has made me pause to recommend it without sharing the good and the bad.
