Disappointing Service!
I was excited to sign my dog up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance after reading the great reviews, however, at this point the service seems to be HUGELY disappointing! When I called with some policy questions, the receptionist was less than friendly (actually quite short) and refused to immediately connect me to a representative. After calling back a while later, I learned that the medical record review that was initially promised as an automatic benefit was never processed. Apparently you have to make a separate request apart from faxing the medical records to the company (in direct contrast to what the previous representative had told me). Another shocking surprise is that ALL payments are DIRECTLY DEDUCTED from your checking account/credit card- which is not mentioned PRIOR to enrollment. This is only mentioned in the policy documents received AFTER you sign up. The conversation concluded with the representative pretending not to hear me and then hanging up the phone.... No call back from them, even though my number is on file... Very unprofessional.

3 Years and 3 Dogs
We have 3 Huskies and have Petsecure Insurance for all 3. Our first husky had a minor accident with her tooth and Petsecure was there to help. Our second husky was diagnosed with Angular Limb Deformity and Petsecure has been there every step of the way. They have been an enormous help with our boy which has helped with the whole decision making process. When we got our 3rd husky a few months ago, I thought our premium was going to go sky high due to our second ones disability... the complete opposite happened, we got 10% off as we have 3 or more pets with insurance. The premiums are reasonable and the turn around time is amazing!! Thank you Petsecure!!

Good Coverage, but read the fine print
My black lab recently had to have knee surgery (TPLO). I just received my EOB and the paid 80% of all the surgery and hospital care as promised. My only complaint is on her recent renewal they changed their policy to only cover 1 TPLO surgery per the dog's life. Since most research shows dogs with one TPLO have a 50-60% chance of needing the same surgery on the other knee I now have to pay insurance and save up for a possible second surgery. The main reason I purchased insurance was to spread these types of costs over the years of the dog's life through policy payments and preventing the need for a seperate emergency fund or credit card.

Paid as Promised!
I was very wary of purchasing pet insurance but my last pup had three knee surgeries with no coverage. I bought it this time & my three year old Am Staff got IBS & pancreatitis and Trupanion sent me my big check in less than a week. Recommended!

Efffective response to my Claim
I was so pleased with processing of my claim that I have already recommended this company to several other dog owners. The only criticism that I could make would be the time it took. However, they kept me informed via email.

Petsecure saved our Hank
Without Petsecure's help we would have had to put our golden, Hank, to sleep. He was so sick that the vet at Calgary North Vetrinary Clinic didn't think Hank would survive as Hank contracted something rarely seen in goldens. Petsecure allowed CNV to direct bill as the first of his visits was well over $1,300. To this date, Hank's vet bills are well over $6,000. We still aren't out of the woods with Hank as CNV is still conducting tests to see if they can nail down what is making him sick. They do know that he has severe arthritis, has had water surrounding his lungs as well as other internal injuries. I have had other pets and had insurance with Trucompanion, President's Choice, etc. but none of these plans did as much for a pet like Petsecure. I am so glad I chose this insurance company over any others.

Easy to file claims, fast service
I have had ASPCA Pet insurance for my two cats for a few years now, and I am always surprised how easy it is to file claims and to look for information about my policies on the website. I fax in my receipts, and even with one cat fight a year, I end up getting money back, quickly and easily. I am happy just to support ASPCA, I am twice as happy that the customer service, both on the web and on the phone is always so great. And should anything unexpected happen, I have peace of mind we are covered. I highly recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance to anyone considering it.

Works great for me
