Embrace is a wonderful insurance company

When I first looked into getting pet insurance, I read every review for each insurance company I could find. Embrace impressed me far beyond all the rest. My experience with Embrace has been the same. My claims have always been reviewed very quickly and there has always been great follow up from embrace to insure great customer service. I am very happy with embrace and do recommend them to anyone.

Possible liver problem

Routine blood work revealed raised liver enzyme. No symptoms so an exray was done which showed liver OK but enflamed bowel was detected. Our dog was completely unsymptomatic , however, a number of medications were prescribed which we purchased and administered. The liver enzyme is greatly improved and no intestinal problems now. Our claim was handled promptly.

Healthy Paws keeps my pup healthy

Getting Healthy Paws for my little girl was the best decision we ever made (next to actually adopting our goldendoodle). The claims are processed extremely fast (often times the claim is processed and/or approved the same day the vet faxes the claim over, and the check is in the mail shortly thereafter), and we have never ever had a problem with getting a reimbursement for something covered by the policy. In fact, over the course of our first 15 months, we have more back in reimbursements than what the premiums would cost us over the next 10 years. So right there Healthy Paws has been a return on my investment, and then some. More than anything, having health insurance has given me the peace of mind to take my girl in for any medical problem (large or small) without having to worry about the vet costs. Also, I feel like Healthy Paws as a company actually cares about my puppy. Whenever I call, a person picks up and is actually very pleasant to talk to. And when we submit claims for an illness, I get an email a few days/week later asking how my puppy is feeling. That's just great customer service! I only wish my human health insurance was as good!! As an FYI, my 15 month old girl is a relatively healthy goldendoodle. When she was very young, she had a sensitive tummy, and we just needed to rule out any pathogens, and more recently she suffered from a nasty UTI and struvite crystals.

I have had Pets Best for a couple years now and suddenly my monthly rate went up. I called and the service and sales agents were amazingly helpful and quickly got me into a better and more affordable policy for my pet. WONDERFUL experience.

IMHA & cancer but considered as single incident

Dog was feeling dumpy. Vet did bloodwork. Low hematocrit was noted among other things. Brought him home with meds but he wouldn't eat or drink and was obviously not well. Went to Iowa State Lloyd Veterinary Hospital. It was determined he had IMHA. After 3.5 weeks in ICU, 9 transfusions, as a last ditch effort a splenectomy was performed. After a rough go, he got better quickly but biopsies taken during surgery showed that he had cancer. Now began treating the cancer. Pets best considered cancer, IMHA and reactions to meds, transfursions etc all as one incident. That is like saying if you have pancreatic cancer and you break your finger, or something else unrelated, they just ignore the facts and say it is related and the reason for this is that they had a SINGLE INCIDENT PAYOUT in their policy which benefitted them since it limits their liability by saying everything that happened is all related. This just isn't true. Some dogs have IMHA and never get cancer and vice versa. There is no data that shows they have to be related but Pets Best chose to ignore this Trupanion apparently has no limit per incident.

Excellent Company!!!

I have been VERY impressed with the service fromHealthy Paws. The quick response time to claims and questions has been incredibly. The send e-mail to follow up Nd see how our dog is doing after any procedure and unfortunately he has had many in his 15 months. He had surgery last Tuesday. The claim was submitted that afternoon. I had an e-mail that evening explaining what was covered and the check arrived on Saturday! It has been the same for all his claims! I just wish BCBS was as easy to deal with. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who has or is getting a pet. I have told the vet to do the same. Our experience with Healthy Paws has been amazing.

Puppy ingested of foreign object

Our puppy had bad gastric issues due to ingesting a rubber band. We had to take her to the animal emergency clinic on the night it happend in which she had X-rays done. The following day we took her the vet since she wasn't keeping food or water down and they kept her for observing all day and had her on IVs and a catheter. We were very impressed with the response time of our claim. We received email updates throughout the process and within a week we had a response and the check was in the mail. Thankfully trupanion covered 90% of all the costs. Our pup is doing much better! :)
