don't use these folks
this company was great when I first started using them. now they are getting greedy and increasing my premium over 20% more than the year prior. when I try to sign up a new pet with this company the rate is the same as what I am currently paying. They are arbitrarily raising my premium with no cause. They have been extremely slow to reply when reaching out for additional explanations. Look elsewhere for a pet insurance company.

Excellent coverage
The sign up process was easy and the coverage was excellent with all the information available in summarized form. Pricing was competitive and one year of free telus health insurance was cherry on top. Just hope the claim process is easy as if ever needed, although reviews were positive from people.

I have been very happy with how fast my claims have been reimbursed. It has helped with the stress of helping to take care of my dog with all of her medical needs.

The policy is very well explained
The policy is very well explained. If vet visit is necessary for unexpected illness or accident, you first need to meet deductible and afterwards, expense will be covered at whatever percent you chose. I submit vet bills on line and wait for determination.

Amazing pet insurance!
I recently had to have a procedure done for my Shih Tzu because she had eye lashes growing into her eyes and laying on her eyes causing constant irritation and tearing. Can you imagine having several eye lashes laying being in your eyes every day, all day? Even though it was a very costly surgery, (freezing of the affected hair follicles so they won't continue to grow), Pets Best paid almost the entire bill minus the deductible. Over $2000! Also paid for most of the pre surgery visit to determine if surgery was needed. I couldn't be happier with their response and the speed of being refunded! This is an amazing company. Don't put off signing up your dog. Especially helpful for full breed puppies, since you don't know what type of issues they will have. I will be continuing with Pets Best as they have proven themselves tenfold! Thank you Pets Best!

Figo drops the Ball on the amount of time they take to get your Claim done. I submitted a Claim on 8/20/25 & here it is 8/27/25 & my claim is still in Review. I am seriously thinking about dumping Figo & finding another Pet Insurance Company! Figo has not met my expectations whatsoever! Figo needs to do a lot better at processing claims in a timely fashion! I so far am not happy with the Figo turn-around time!!!

Spot Pet Insurance Policy is Throwing Money in the Ocean
I purchased insurance from Spot Insurance based on good reviews I saw online after my former pet insurance stopped underwriting my type of policy in Florida. Every illness claim has been rejected as pre-existing conditions. Examples: My pet had a corneal ulcer in one of his eyes prior to my policy. He later had a corneal ulcer in the OPPOSITE eye. To Spot Insurance, this was pre-existing (I did appeal it but their customer service did not reach out.) Another example--my dog has had a valve heart murmur for year. It is completely stable and does not require any treatment. He recently developed a completely different heart condition. I specifically asked my veterinarian if it was related to the valve murmur. She said not at all. You guessed it. To Spot Pet Insurance it is pre-existing. I'm so disappointed in this company and would not recommend them to anyone. Save your money! You can use it to pay for all the conditions that Spot wouldn't cover anyway.
Would never recommend Embrace
Not many regrets in life, but using Embrace is one of them. Since my dog had a bit of food intolerance/allergy when he was little they’ve claimed anything gastrointestinal is a pre-existing condition that they won’t cover. Now faced with the prospect of stomach cancer at age 10 and Embrace won’t even consider scans as something that would qualify. Paid thousands to this company over the years and have never had a single cent back. My vet is even shocked about what they are claiming and using as an excuse.
