Easy to File
I submitted my invoices doctor's notes and test results very easily on my home computer. It took about 30 days to get paid for the claim. I was not notified by email but by a letter with the explanation of benefits attached for each charge. I found it very easy to do and I was satisfied with the amount of the claim that was paid.
I have had Trupanion for about 8-9…
I have had Trupanion for about 8-9 years for my pup and they have never let me down. I highly recommend Trupanion for all pet owners. My pup would not be here today if I didn’t have Trupanion to help cover and pay for all his medical issues, he is 14 years and 3 months old with Cushings disease and DMVD heart issue. I would not be able to pay for his care without Trupanion. Thank you Trupanion

Horrific company, akin to UnitedHealthCare.
MetLife loves to take money from unsuspecting pet owners after being loyal to them for years without usage. This past renewal beginning 6-17-25, has an almost 50% markup from the prior year. They aren’t able to justify the high cost and yet now I’m stuck paying $150 or leave. Then my dog has “pre existing conditions” and other insurances won’t take him. I feel stuck and as if MetLife is exploiting pet owners on a daily basis.

Trupanion the Best
Trupanion was suggested by the breeder of my dog. The best suggestion ever. Trupanion is very quick on their response to claims. I recommend them 100%.

Caring and quick reimbursement
Initially I thought they were looking for ways to not pay out. This is my fourth pet insurance experience and I felt to a point they just up costs and make things more difficult. Healthy Paws has not done this. My German Shepherd has Pannus and recently needed cruciate surgery on her knee Healthy Paws paid 80% as per my contract which I really appreciate. One suggestion: when filing a claim scanning receipt is clearer for them to read versus using a photo. That delayed some of my claims. In addition for surgeries like she just had It would be better if they paid hospital direct rather than having to come up with the full amount and wait to be reimbursed. That said, in general they are easy to work with and reimburse in a short time…usually 3 days later. Best insurance I’ve had so far.

I've never had pet insurance but thought it might be a good idea with my new pup. Amanda really helped by explaining all the coverage. Her personal service made this a great experience. I hope I never need it but I feel better knowing it is there if something happens to Bodhi!! Thanks!!

I recommend Pets Best Insurance
I've had Pets Best Health Insurance for about 10 years. I recently filed my first claim for my 4 year old Boston Terrier who somehow got a corneal ulcer, unknown how. Took her to the ER and her follow-ups, then sent the claims in. Very easy process. I met the deductible with that expense and was reimbursed in about 4 weeks for the remainder of the bill.

rejected not one but two of my claims citing "small print" .
I have been with this company for many pets . I have been with this company with my current girl for 7 years. I do not turn many claims in and understand the process and terms. the outlandish citings they gave for the last 1/ cracked tooth had to be extracted. they did not cover it because, I DIDNT HAVE MY DOGS TEETH CLEANED UNDER ANESTHESIA THE FIRST THREE YEARS OF HER LIFE. That is insane. the vet couldnt even believe it and has never heard that before. the second claim, was that my dog was acting very strange after a severe thunderstorm in the mountains. she wasnt eating going on two days. not interested in anything. DENIED THAT CLAIM WITH NO EXPLAINATION. I guess mental health (if that is what it was ) is not a thing with pets. THIS COMPANY HAS RAISED RATES AND STARTED DENYING LEGITAMATE CLAIMS. I AM SORRY I EVER REFERRED MY FRIENDS TO THEM.
