I never knew how pet insurance works but it's really easy with spot pet insurance. If you take your pet to vet you can file a claim and get reimbursed for what you paid during your visit to the vet.

Review of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for more than 5 yrs. Recently my 11 yo Australian Shepherd had TPLO surgery and is doing well. I'm very happy with Healthy Paws. They pay claims quickly- usually in 2 days of claim submittal. You just upload documents to their website and you receive an explanation of benefits promptly. They are easy to work with and am happy I decided to get pet insurance.

As a trauma RN I have consistently recommended this insurance for its ease of service, always a live agent to help you and excellent coverage. My husky was diagnosed with cancer at age 2 and they have never refused a claim and have helped us financially get through this period so he can still run at the dog park. Thank you!

Highly recommend Healthy Paws
I sought out pet insurance when we found out our new kitten liked to eat things he wasn't supposed to, after a $3000 vet bill. A year later he started vomiting and I had no hesitation to bring him in to get checked out knowing we had Healthy Paws pet insurance. He had eaten a few chunks of a prank rubber snake and needed to have them removed. Healthy paws covered 80% of the ER vet bill (not including the initial exam). Within a week, I was reimbursed. I can 100% recommend this insurance company. It saved us from yet another $3000 vet bill.
