The response I received from the company was top notch in that the person handling case was promp, courteous and, obvious to me, a pet owner. I sent over my claim, via email. Was acknowledged almost immediately, and then handled and approved the next day! Great Company.

Pets Best is simply the best
My friends who are pet parents were right about choosing Pets Best when my husband and I rescued two kittens in May 2023. One of our cats (now 2 years old) needed FHO (femoral head ostectomy) due to a fractured right leg and started walking with a limp. I called customer service and gave my policy number. He advised that I submit the receipt and paperwork the veterinary office gave me. Claim was submitted and I was reimbursed accordingly.

If I could give this review more stars I definitely would! We have been able to give our boys, Presley & Jackson, so much more care because of having Trupanion. We feel we have extended their lifetime because of. We would not have been able to afford some of the care they have gotten. Getting Trupanion was the best decision I've ever made!

Appeal resolved favorably
Initially, my claim was denied. I called and explained that the basis for the denial was flawed. Trupanion was willing to consider additional information provided by the vet and agreed to cover the surgery. I am grateful that they were able to listen and reconsider their initial decision.

I just canceled after 3 years
I just canceled after 3 years. The cost got to be too much. And they find every reason to make a pre-existing condition. I initially signed up my 10 year old dog it was $52 with a $500 deductible. Then it was $65 with a 750 deductible then it was $82 with $1,000 deductible and then for 13-year-old dog it was $220 with $1,000 deductible. She's a healthy dog fortunately. All the people I dealt with were very nice both sales and claims, but the increase seems high and I would expect next year it would be even higher
