Truly a life saver
I've had my miniature dachshund since he was 6 weeks old. As soon as he was eligible (I think he was 3 months), I decided to insure him. After researching all the available companies, I went with Trupanion. The very first claim I filed was when he was 4 years old. I'm not going to lie, the experience with the first claim was horrible. I believe it was because I had moved and did not have his actual medical records and was not able to obtain them from the now out of state veterinarians. In 2018, I decided I was just going to cancel (mainly based on the first claim experience). I am so grateful to the representative that assured me that all claims for his IVDD would be approved. He just underwent spinal surgery today and if I did not have Trupanion, I would not have been able to afford his surgery. Trupanion truly saved my dog's life.

Very Good experience
My Cat was recently sick and we had to take him to the ER for not eating after 4 days they did x rays to rule out obstruction and ultra sound turns out he had a bout with Acid Reflux...who knew a cat could get that? Haha....Thankfully after some meds they gave him at the hospital and also meds to take home he is doing so much better and back to eating normally....i submitted my claim and within a week I was reimbursed every thing less the 250 deductible....Thank you Nationwide!!
