2020 has been a tough year and Covid didn’t help but Nationwide sure did! We didn’t realize how sick Maggie, our Coton de Tulare, was & she passed quickly after her diagnosis but so thankful Nationwide helped us for all our vet costs and cremation! We soon noticed Coco, our Westie was missing Maggie and she needed a check up! Thank you Nationwide for covering her last vet bill. Since I was furloughed due to Covid, I struggled to know if I could cover the bill, but so thankful Nationwide was there to help me.

I have so appreciated all that Trupanion has done for us. I don't know where my precious little min dachshund Toby would be right now, with all his disc issues, without the intervention of Trupanion. I am so VERY VERY Grateful!!! My only disappointment is when I signed my third dog, onto the policy, that there was not a multi dog discount-- tough to do this on a widow's income-- and that I was charged a sign-on fee which I was blind-sighted by because no one shared that info with me when I signed her onto the policy. And when I signed Tilly, onto the policy, I was told about the the holistic approaches available for an extra fee. Untli that time, I had no idea that was an option. I know I was told that I was sent an email but I never received one because, being a naturopath myself, I would have jumped at the opportunity to get my Ruby on that enhanced coverage!!!!! Unfortunately, technology is NOT always reliable and when this type of email is sent out their should be a confirmation of receipt of the email, then when the company hears nothing back they should be proactive and follow up with the customers to be certain they even received it, especially when someone has been a faithful customer, for now over 5 years!!! None of this is meant to be critical, but having had my own business, years ago, I would pull out ALL the stops for my clients. I had no restrictions. But I am MOST grateful for how supportive and compassionate you have been with my Toby boy. These dogs are my true family, especially since my husband's passing. Thank you for all you do! I truly direct all pet parents to be proactive and seek out Trupanion-- often when I have been in a vet facility!! I am a true advocate of this pet insurance!!! With appreciation and blessings!! TPLO surgery (tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy)
I took out insurance on my dog because of the rising costs of veterinary services. Zoe is my 4th American Bulldog and none of my other very athletic and muscular AB's have ever needed orthopedic care before, so when Zoe tore her ACL it was a complete shock! I took her to a vet specialist about an hour away and was quoted $5500 for the surgery (!). Fortunately I asked around and found a "mobil vet" who specialized in this procedure and worked with over 40 vets in my area and performed the surgery for nearly 1/2 this cost. I got prior approval/clearance from Embrace before the surgery (which I highly recommend). The approval process was fast, as was the refund for the surgery itself. I am SO glad I had this insurance and can not recommend this company more! They are very organized and professional.
