THE BEST PET INSURANCE EVER.

This is the best pet insurance ever. This coverage saved my Thor's life and coverage for routine visits is amazing. Claims are fast and easy and give a complete explanation of the benefits. I am so glad I chose Nationwide.

Healthy Paws has truly help me get the care I need to care for my sweet dog Ruby,

I am so grateful I decided to get Healthy Paws insurance for my dog Ruby. She is only 3 years old and has cancer. Healthy Paws has reimbursed my for her surgery to remove the tumor. The cost of the surgery was $3,886 and Healthy Paws has reimbursed me $3.107. This has made is so much better for me to focus on getting Ruby the care she needs to fight this cancer.

Worst customer service and claims evaluations

The claims adjusters are the worst evaluators when it comes to medical diagnoses!!!!! They classify everything my dog had as gastroenteritis in order to refuse to pay claims as they used that as an exclusion with a one year old dog that had diarrhea as a puppy adjusting to foods therefore when she got real sick and needed 3 days at the hospital for a bowel obstruction they refused to pay even after the vet called them and explained it was not gastroenteritis but an obstruction that thankfully passed they still refused to pay saying it was gastroenteritis I am a doctor and it was NOT gastroenteritis and the vet did a one on one call and they refused to listen to the VET! So disappointing it cost me a couple of thousand dollars they refused to cover because they say puppy diarrhea adjusting to new food was gastroenteritis and anything to do with anything GI they will lump into a fraudulent diagnosis of gastroenteritis in order to NOT PAY A CLAIM!!! SO WRONG!!!!

Big Al had to have his super happy tail amputated.

Aldo is a super sweet giant and all he wants is love. About a month ago we started to notice a funky smell coming from him. We took him to the vet for his annual visit and while we were waiting in the exam room he whacked his tail on the wall and it started to bleed. The vet examined him and determined that the smell was coming from his tail. They cleaned and examined his tail and informed us that our happy dog had happy tail syndrome and an infection. We treated the infection with antibiotics and used some items from around the house to create a little protective cone for the tip of his tail. Unfortunately, he was too happy and he would whip the cone off of his tail multiple times a day. There was a lot of blood and anxiety for about a month. After a month of trying to contain the bleeding and keep his tail free of infection I had had enough and the vet didn’t think we would ever see a healthy blood free tail again. We scheduled him for a partial tail amputation 4 days later. The evening before surgery the very tip of his tail fell off. It was a tough night for him and emotionally exhausting for us. The next day he had his amputation and hung out with the vet clinicians all day until he was cleared to come home. He had some bleeding that day so we had to go back for incision check the next day but other than that, he has been an angel. He seems happier, we seem happier, nobody is getting whipped by his tail, and the entire house seems less chaotic. Nationwide covered almost all of the vet expense. Without nationwide we wouldn’t be able to have Christmas gifts for our family this year and we wouldn’t be able to cuddle up on the couch with our giant pup.

This is not insurance. It's a scam

Wow. I really should have done more research for this AWFUL pet insurance. Seems like no matter what I take my dog to the vet for they don't reimburse. Dog swallowed a rope and the costs raked up but I wasn't too concerned financially because "I have insurance" turns out all I have is a company that will find any excuse to not actually reimburse you. Seriously. Not one DIME. Pre existing condition???? I will be cancelling first thing tomorrow and going elsewhere. DO NOT GET SUCKERED LIKE ME AND MANY OTHERS LIKE ME. It's. A. Joke.
