STRESS FREE!!!
The last thing you should be worried about when your furry children are not well is how will I pay for this. Our baby had serious GI problems. We were so anxious and frightened that we couldn't think straight. We took him to hospital where he had to spend the night and go through tests. Yes, during this time we were very concerned of cost. Trupanion was there when one of our other pups was sick and it was the most stress free experience we have ever had both financially and the process of claiming. The hospital sent the claim directly to Trupanion and before our dog got home we knew what our cost was and what Trupanion covered. STRESS FREE!!! Our pup is back home recovering and we have to thank the hospital and Trupanion for making this terrible experience more manageable. I would recommend this company to anyone who has pets just for the peace of mind and ease of claim.

Quick and easy claim process and payment is much appreciated.
Life is super busy so I REALLY appreciate the quick/easy claims and payment process. The VitusVet app is great. The only reason I couldn't give 10/10 is that it's difficult to update vet information once it's entered and the accepting payments process was a bit annoying initially until I figured out how to automatically have sent to the same account every time. The level of coverage is also impressive. I wish my medical insurance would be this easy to deal with.

Terrible- don’t cover what they say they will cover
I was just on hold with customer service for almost an hour and finally hung up in frustration. I just recently got pet insurance through my job for my new puppy. He went in for a puppy wellness check (nothing was wrong with him) including vaccines and heart worm and flea/tick prevention. I was shocked when I put in my claim and was only reimbursed $40 for my $240 bill, and the EOB stayed that the maximum was reached for the year. They do a puppy vaccine pack, where you pay up front for 4 vaccines, and he got the first vaccine, and everything else in the puppy pack was submitted to your company and should be covered based on the information I was provided as part of the preventative/wellness option I am paying for each paycheck. Not only did it not get reimbursed to me, as was promised when I purchased this policy, it also looks like none of my money went towards my deductible either, so what is the point of paying over $60 per month for what appears to be no coverage at all? I’m not happy at all, and this is not what I signed up and am paying for. My wellness visit for my dog should have been fully covered, and if not, it should have at least gone towards my deductible. As far as I am concerned, there is absolutely no reason to keep this insurance plan.

Fantastic coverage and quick clim payment
Taking your dog to the vet comes with plenty of stress. Not only can your "best friend" tell you what is wrong when it is apparent they are hurting, but along with it comes the financial stress of what may be to come in terms of testing and diagnostics. Having Nationwide Pet Insurance has allowed us to avoid making those difficult treatment decisions, when your beloved pet needs care. Thank you Nationwide for your coverage and quick payment of our recent claim. Baxter and my family are all feeling much better because of it!
