So Easy
So far, Nationwide has been so easy to work with. I have a cat and a dog covered under the wellness protection policy and anytime I submit a claim, Nationwide is there to assist with the bill. Would and have recommended to family and friends.

Scam! They Deny Most Legitimate Claims!
This pet insurance sounded like a good idea. However, they Do Not Ever Cover Vet Bills!!!! 1) they deny Anything that might possibly be related to a pre-existing condition. I did not see that in the fine print, but okay. 2) they automatically deny any Legitimate vet treatment, even after multiple animal clinics confirm the valid claim. 3) they make the appear process very complicated. 4) they Do Not Reply to e-mails most of the time and time you out on calls. I have been waiting on an emergency room bill to be paid for 6-months now and they just keep responding that “no agents are available to review your claim at this time.” All they Do is Take your payments, and Do Not Pay to reimburse your pets medical expenses!

Prompt and efficient customer service
Have 2 Golden Retrievers insured with Healthy Paws for more than 5 years. Theirs premium are quite a bit less than other companies we have researched. Multiple claims have been handled promptly and mostly without question. Claims process is very convenient and easy. Direct deposit of payments helps speed up the process. Recently one of our dogs required major orthopedic surgery. Over $11,000 and Healthy Paws was there for us. That kind of peace of mind is why we have pet insurance.

Our pet was suffering constantly licking his paws, his legs we could tell he was uncomfortable - our vet diagnosed him with allergies and wanted us to try some medicine but warned us it was costly - we tried the drug and saw an almost immediate relief for our pet - the insurance makes these decisions that are important for our dogs comfort and health so stress-free
