Quick and caring
When my corgi had an emergency recently, the bill quickly skyrocketed. It was reassuring to know that Nationwide would help offset some of the expense. They did, and they did it quickly. That has always been my experience with this company. My dog is fine now btw.

Waste of Money
This is a lot of my fault. It's hard when you're rescuing puppies last minute and they need to see the vet asap. I didn't have time to wait 14 days for the underwriting process and $800 later, Nationwide was not on my side. Then they proceeded to tell me their worms were a "preexisting condition" which is false, they got worms because their previous owner left them in the field to eat poop and mud (didn't even submit this, the customer care individual just wanted to inform me). Make sure you get this way in advance before you start considering pet insurance. At this point, I don't need it and why would I pay $120/per pet if I won't even reach the $250 deductible (per pet) this year. I'll just use another insurance provider when it's time to renew their shots. Gave it a shot and wasted my money. blah

Wish i would have tried them sooner!
ASPCA was not my first pet insurance, but i wish i would have found them sooner. My previous carrier made claims so difficult, they constantly lost the vet notes i would send in with the invoices and would never communicate issues to me. Worse yet, they never paid out, I'd have to fight, my vet would have to fight and then finally months later i would get reimbursed. I love what ASPCA stands for so i gave them a go! So glad i did. I do my part, if i have a claim i usually call and ask if it's covered (if i can't tell) and then send in all the notes with the claim and i haven't had any issues. It was like night and day. Turn over time is phenomenal. Sometimes only a few days, sometimes bigger ones took up to 2 weeks but that is nothing to complain about. Customer service is so caring and helpful. It's refreshing that when we had our bad luck year with my dogs health i wasn't left high and dry with insurance. Just do your part, get all your notes and invoices and send them at the same time on the super easy to use online claim form. Thank you aspca for making my furbabies sudden health issues that much less stressful!

Easy claim filing and quick payment
I’ve found it quite helpful to have pet insurance and I find that it gives me peace of mind that when my dog needs treatment, it’s covered. I have both preventative care and illness coverage. Claim filing is easy, I just bring a form to my vet and they submit for me. I have automatic payments set up through my bank (for premium payment and for reimbursements), so I don’t have to think about paying my bill and my reimbursements get deposited directly to my account. Customer service has been very helpful and I’ve never had to wait long on the phone.

Excellent customer service
Aside from the recent 33% monthly increase which I think is exorbitant, I am generally very pleased with Nationwide. Your customer service is excellent; in fact, the best experience I have ever had with any company on the phone. And the expediency of claims/payments is also excellent. But I will be changing my policy due to the outrageous premium increase.

Easy to sign up, process claims, get info regarding anything about my dog. I haven't yet, spoken, with a beer at Pets Best. I referred one of my brothers but, he hasn't signed up yet... Yet

It would be almost impossible for us to manage our pet illness without Healthy Paws Insurance
My dog, Petu, has a megaesophagus condition. We have been struggling with her illness for over four months, going almost every other week to the Vet. Now we are managing it at home, but it is a long way to get her better. Thanks to Healthy Paws insurance for all its support without its assistance, it would have been almost impossible for us to manage all the expenses alone. We have received all the reimbursements promptly without questions or conditions for over $3,000. Also, someone in Healthy Paws' team has been asking us for Petu's condition showing that is not only a dog; Healthy Paws' team realizes that Petu is an essential part of my family and our life.
