Not Sure if Worth the Cost
After lots of back and forth with the claims department, I finally got part of my emergency vet visit covered. I feel the advertising for Nationwide is misleading as it claims to cover 100% of vet costs...however the fine print is that they cover 100% of what THEY decide a treatment costs. Considering canceling or switching to another company.

Best thing we did
I am so happy we signed up with Nationwide Pet insurance. Our dog has allergies and she's had to get special medicine and treatment to help her long term health. Nationwide has saved us a lot of money by covering the vet bills. And they are very easy and transparent, which is very helpful! Thank you!

Kip means everything to me as have all my dogs over the years. You took care of my boy Harper when he was diagnosed cancer. It took me 2 years to even want another companion. When I found Kip he stole my heart and when I need the animal e.r. I didn't hesitate to go. The e.r. is pricey but I didn't worry because you had my back again. I was paid quickly for that cost and very much appreciate that. I wouldn't do without Nationwide for all my 4 legged family members. It's worth every penny. Thank you Nationwide!

Trupanion is the best
Instead of sleeping in and starting a relaxing Sunday off the way I expected, I woke up to the sound of my French Bulldog having a reverse sneezing episode. The episode itself wasn't unusual, but Harvey's breathing after the incident was cause for concern. After monitoring for about an hour, I had to take Harvey to the emergency vet service in my City. My breeders were worried that Harvey may have pneumonia, and my relaxing Sunday had quickly turned into a stressful one. Unfortunately, like some other unlucky Frenchies, Harvey has suffered from breathing issues in the past. He has already had surgery in an effort to fix the issue and give him a better quality of life (which I was able to afford, thanks to Trupanion). In addition to being very concerned for Harvey's health, my anxiety started to build when I thought about how much the emergency trip to the vet might cost me. I asked the vet's assistant whether the visit would be covered under Harvey's existing condition. They weren't sure, but they offered to call Trupanion for me. 15 minutes later, I was completely relieved to receive word that Trupanion would treat Harvey's visit as a recurrence of his existing condition, and therefore I wouldn't need to pay a new deductible. No hassle, and no questions asked. I didn't even need to speak with Trupanion myself. While it still wasn't the relaxing Sunday I had in mind, Trupanion made my day a lot better than it could have been. In case you're wondering, Harvey didn't have pneumonia, but is currently on medication, which we're hoping will be the first step to getting him back to good health. Thanks, Trupanion!

Ease of submitting a claim
I was very pleased with the ease of submitting a claim for my dog's recent veterinarian visit. I had only to photograph my bill, and send it in. I talked to a very friendly and helpful Figo employee who told me exactly what I needed to do. She was very interested in my dog's health problem, and the treatment prescribed by the veterinarian. i'm happy that it is so simple and easy to submit claims to Figo.
