Solid pet insurance
We obtained Nationwide Pet Insurance when we first got our dog about 3 years ago. We purchased the whole pet policy, which has a high annual premium, but it covers pretty much everything at 90% after we pay our $250 deductible. We have been pleased with this insurance, and the ease with which we can submit the claims through the app on my phone. Our dog is very healthy overall, but she had a bad bout of giardia the first few months we had her, and we had peace of mind knowing her (repeated) treatments were covered, along with her medications. These past few months, she has had ear infections that have been hard to clear. I did have to file an appeal of one of the minor ear treatments that Nationwide initially denied, but after I filed the appeal and spoke with a rep, Nationwide covered it. I appreciated that very much.

Excellent Service From Nationwide Pet Insurance
I hadn't submitted any claims for over 2 years and finally went through my stack of old vet bills. I submitted over 20 claims for my 2 mini dachshunds (by mail) and was surprised when the claims were all processed in about 2 weeks. I know that included reaching out to my vet for more details on at least one of them. I really appreciated the fast turnaround, especially with the number of claims I submitted all at once. And the peace of mind of knowing I never have to skimp on my pets' care is priceless to me.

Great online claims system!
Great way to submit things online, only suggestion would be to have a status of claim that is more detailed other than just pending. You're left in the dark for 30 days. But it was nice to get an email checking in on our 4 legged baby.

Great customer service and transparency, claims do take awhile
My pet was diagnosed with heart worms so I reached out to an agent to see what things I needed to do to get re-imbursed. She was extremely nice and gave me some tips to stay ahead of the process. She also did a great job explaining my policy details and what to expect. When I filed my claim it did take awhile due to the vast amount of claims being processed at that time. I did appreciate the emails to let me know where my claim stood.

Ridiculous coverage limits
Absolutely ridiculous coverage for what you're paying. Their wellness program pays for ONE vaccination basically. New dogs need so many. Go elsewhere for the best benefits.
