Love Trupanion!!
I love Trupanion! This is our first dog and also our first experience with pet insurance. We have been really happy with the excellent customer service when we call, the speed of reimbursement, and the ease of filing claims. I mention you to all my friends, coworkers, and people at my gym when they talk about getting new pets. Thanks for all you do!

I don't feel like I'm saving money.
I really wish the deductibles weren't "per condition" - My dog just had her second dental surgery. I was only reimbursed for one of the two "types" of dental operations that were performed during the same surgery. I paid approximately $1,400 on evaluations, x rays, surgery, and medications, and only got about $200 back. They did not cover the emergency evaluations or medications at all, and the deductible system feels like a scam. I can't switch due to pre-existing condition rules. My dog has periodontal disease (and a $400 deductible). Switching to a new plan would only make my financial situation worse. My dog's insurance policy is still better than my human insurance policy but that isn't saying much.

The best investment you can make.
I was amazed at the level and percentage of coverage. My 3 year old Frenchie slipped a disc and couldn't walk. Devastated, I was happy at least to know I was covered. Then I got the coverage amount and was floored. This is the best investment a person can make for their fur babies.
