Disappointed
I think it was incorrect to deny our claim for the partial Caudectomy. Yes, Trooper already had the skin growth but he had never licked or chewed it before. He had never paid any attention to it! Trooper has been extremely stressed because, due to covid 19, we had extended family living here from March 21 to early August. This included 3 adults, another dog, and a toddler who chased Trooper nonstop. Trooper is a very anxious dog and started obsessively licking and chewing the growth on the tip of his tail to the point of making it bleed. Our vet said the partial caudectomy was the only solution.

I was very pleased to see the updates Trupanion has made over the years to simplify the claims process.
I was very pleased to see the updates Trupanion has made over the years to simplify the claims process. It took very little time to gather the receipt and doctor's note regarding the specific procedure and the claim was processed very quickly. I didn't have to gather any signatures or fax any signed documents in. It was fast and efficient and I'd recommend them to other pet owners going forward.
