As I said in my review, my claim was handled the way you've always wanted insurance companies to operate. Here's what happened, here are the invoices, this is the vet's contact information, thank you for the payment. Which by the way. I want to add was broken down in a way that I didn't have to open the calculator app on my phone to figure out why my payment was what it was.

Some truths that I’ve experienced
INTRO: I try to never write negative reviews, but this just has to be presented at least so they can make some changes, if possible. I can’t give too low of a rating because I have had good experiences overall, but in this new year it’s really been tough for me to see any of the prior positives. BACKGROUND: I’ve been paying this insurance for a few years now, and honestly it was great. I didn’t file many claims, if any really, and the ones I did file got handled well. In truth, I spent more on the premium then I spent at the Vet. But that’s how it is with insurance sometimes; so no harm no foul. MIXED EXPERIENCE: Until this year, when our pup got sick. Calling for a rep takes over an hour every time! If you don’t believe it you can literally just call the line yourself. Walk away for 10 min and for the most part expect to hear the elevator music still playing when you get back. I get it, a lot of places are short staffed, but that just means treating your customers in a positive manner and making them feel like they matter when you are able to finally get to them. Needless to say my claims kept getting closed (denied) simply because they say they can’t read it. Decided to get more documentation from the Vet, and walked a representative through everything. A few weeks later checked and it was closed again specifying inability to read. How is that possible when we spoke and everything was agreed upon?! Called them back again to ask about this and literally, in oh so many words, got told “go figure it out it’s not on us”. Wow. I’m not sure what was happening with the rep that day, but waiting for a rep for an hour and to be talked to in such a manner was horrendous! Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told in many words, “Yeah, sure someone might call you in a few days, need anything else?” Another WOW! Also, never did get that call back, so I gave it another shot and got a rep that truly was positive and I really appreciate her assistance, and also putting in a note about my last experience. I hope we can get back to a good place. MOBILE APP: The mobile app is basically a browser, maybe? It’s not the most intuitive, but it’s functional so it’s whatever. FINAL THOUGHTS: May be worth a try, but be very wary of the things that were outlined in my experience since it seems that it is a reoccurring theme with a few of the negative reviews. Also, I did enjoy my experience with two reps Penny and Shea. I hope they are well taken care of! They are assets to the company.
