Insurances are a scam; SAVE YOUR MONEY!
I got this policy, because of other great reviews and compared to other insurances, it seemed like they had the least wait period and had no lifetime limits. I paid $599 & some change for a 6-MONTH policy. My dog needed extraction for an abscess, which cost $999. With pet insurances, you pay UP FRONT COSTS directly to the vet and then I guess IF your claim gets APPROVED, after paying your deductible on top of what you’ve already paid for the policy, you will get some reimbursement (which most likely will not cover all the extra bs miscellaneous costs that vets charge.) HOWEVER, the disclaimer comes with a long list and the statement IF IT GETS APPROVED. If I had money to pay up front, there is NO REASON for me to NEED this insurance!! I also know it’s the pandemic, so they took about a month to tell me my claim was DENIED. Their reason is that my dog needed cleaning for at least 13 MONTHS, but even the website says they don’t cover pre-existing conditions & periodontal disease. I’m not sure about anywhere else but in the state of FL, the biggest issue in pets is periodontal disease. Long story short, they PROVED to me that insurances are SCAMS. A guy recently posted that because his dog had a preexisting condition & fell, it wasn’t covered either. I’m really NOT sure why I pay insurances for. If I just saved the money I paid into it, I would never need them. I think all insurances just want our money but they really don’t want us to use them. That’s how they profit. It’s sad that pets are being profitted too and it’s even more sad that animals get abused, abandoned, & euthanized simply because they can’t afford expensive vet bills and insurances they can’t use. I recommend saving your money for emergency funds, visit non-profit vet hospitals instead of wasting it on unnecessary insurance that you can’t use when you need it. Believe me, I don’t want to use it and I hope to never need it, but to deny conditions that you know is prevalent in these animals is really “clever.” Bottom line: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME, because insurances are a SCAM. They don’t really want you to use it.

Do NOT waste your time & money! Save emergency funds; insurance companies do not care about you or your pets

You never know when
I would have never thought our 18 month of Golden would need hip surgery this young! But he did - and MyEmbrasse came through covering the expense so we could get the best care of my daughter's bestie. The Claim process was pretty easy, a 1 page claim form to get signed by the provider, copy of the invoice and they handled the rest.

Best decision I’ve made!
Sadly my last two pups had extremely high vet bills (granted pet insurance wasn’t much of a thing 15+ years ago) but I promised myself the next fur baby would have insurance. I started asking my vet the top ones they recommended to help narrow it down and they gave me 3 to look into. I sent several emails and questions to each and I settled with Healthy Paws. All the companies had similar coverage but I was able to tweak the plan a bit more with Healthy Paws, everything from the deductible and the reimbursement rate. I couldn’t be happier with them and uploading claim documents is super easy and they are easy to reach and their communication is great. They even sent me an email asking how my pup was after a recent lass removal surgery (she’s great in case you’re wondering). Bottom line is I love them and can’t say enough good things about them.

Very positive experience with every claim.
We have 3 policies (dogs) with healthypaws for the last 3 years. I am impressed with their customer services, easy claim process and the fast and helpful response whenever you call them on the phone. One of my dogs just had a major leg surgery 2 weeks ago. Healthy Paws made claim so easy for us. All we did with claim was submitting a picture of the vet bill on their app. We received the 90% reimbursement less than 14 days later. The excellent customer services also sent an email to check in on our dog after they sent out the check. We highly recommend healthy Paws for pet owners. I wish the human health insurance companies would be half as good as healthy Paws.!

Healthy Paws is amazing!
We have had a few small claims and Healthy Paws paid the claim within 3-4 days. Then our dog tore her ACL and had to have major surgery. I figured it would take quite awhile to be reimbursed and that they would try to see what they could exclude. That was NOT our experience at all. They paid exactly what the policy said they would pay AND we had our money deposited within about 5 business days. I highly recommend Healthy Paws.

Very pleased
The agent was very helpful answering my questions. He put my mind at ease about how future increases work. He told me exactly what percent the increase is at what pet's age so I know what to expect. The premium is much better than the other company I was with for almost identical coverage. The waiting period is a flat 14 days for accident and illness.

So easy to file a claim, no hassle, quick payment
I’m glad I did my research and decided on Healthy Paws pet insurance. Although I hoped to never need it, the inevitable puppy emergency happened and filing a claim with Healthy Paws was so simple. They took the worry out of the cost for helping my buddy feel better. Not only was the claim supper easy, I filed it on my phone app and had a check in my had in less than 10 days!

Highly Recommended . . . for many reasons.
We have had Trupanion for about 9 years now. Both our Chihuahuas are covered. One of our Boys required significant dental work. Covered. The other has recurring stomach issues. Covered. The claims process is quick and easy. The premiums are manageable. When it comes down to it, we prefer having the insurance because we love our Boys. We never - ever - want to be in the position of having to deny medical treatment because we are financially unable to pay for it. We love our Boys too much for that.
