Pet insurance is absolutely worth it. HealthyPaws is by far, the easiest company & fastest, fairest claims processing out there!
I want to give a HUGE POSITIVE review of HealthyPaws. I have owned multiple pets in my lifetime and this is the first time I have purchased Pet Insurance. I honestly did not think I would need it because I’ve never had issues with my other pets. However, our GoldenDoodle is just over a year old and has come done with some disease that is causing persistent coughing. She has seen the vet numerous times and been through countless testing. She even went to an internal medicine specialist. All covered. What is important though is that with the enormous cost of just one vet visit, this insurance almost pays for itself. My dog has had almost over $4K worth of care and I have only paid a few hundred dollars. The app is great for submitting claims and are usually processed within a few days. I would HIGHLY recommend HealthyPaws for anyone that has a pet.

Trupanion services have been good for my Service Dog. We are in the process of getting another Rescue kitten . We are definitely going to getting insurance for our newest family member. The Trupanion Reps are always friendly and easy to talk with. We are happy with this company .

Terrible customer service, claims sometimes processed incorrectly, avoid if you are a veterinarian
I am a veterinarian and also have Healthy Paws for both of my dogs. While they usually cover what they say they will, their customer service is terrible. I have had numerous issues where they didn't cover as much as they should have and typically have had to send multiple emails and make numerous phone calls to get the problem corrected. At times, I have sent them all the medical records and still received automatic emails saying they can't process the claim because I haven't provided documentation. Another problems is that they will not cover any claims on which I am the veterinarian of record. Therefore, any time I run bloodwork for example on my own dog, they will not cover it. I definitely do not recommend this insurance if you are yourself a veterinarian. If you have a lot of patience for terrible customer service and are not a veterinarian, you could consider it as a "good deal" as far as cost for covereage.

This is an amendment to my previous review. My pet was ill and had an expensive surgery and Pets Best closed the claim after a month with no notification or documentation. I had been unable to contact anyone at Customer Service for days. Finally, I got a rep on the phone and she explained everything. I will be getting the claim paid, however "closed" is was they use as status for higher paying claims that have a brief wait period after processing. I am happy my claim is being paid and happy I finally got an explanation. Besides this gaffe, overall, I had been highly satisfied with this company. I give them 8 out of 10 stars. One deduction for putting up a confusing status with no explanation, and another deduction for the customer service wait times. I understand it is a Pandemic and I want the employees here (and everywhere) to be safe but it would more convenient for them to telework or do something else that made the operations flow run more smoothly. It's frustrating for a customer to have to wait over an hour on hold or have the customer service lines drop calls after being on hold for long amount of time. It's probably equally frustrating for the service reps.

I purchased pet insurance from Pets + US yesterday. The agent was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and very focused on customer service. Everything related to the insurance was very clearly explained. I was very happy with the price of the pet insurance and with the service I received.

You can count on Trupanion
Our 9 year-old dog became very sick with a life-threatening illness. Trupanion approved our dog’s extensive treatment plan within 2 hours of submittal by our Vet and provided all treatment coverage as promised. Treatment was expensive and our pup would not have survived without Trupanion. We will be lifelong clients of Trupanion for all of our beloved pets and have recommended them to all of our friends and family. Thanks Trupanion!

So happy we had them when my puppy had emergency surgery!
My 5 month old puppy ate a sock and needed emergency surgery, and we're SO glad we had healthy paws. He was only 15 days into his active period when he got sick, and they reviewed his full medical history, surgical history, and had a direct deposit for 90% of our costs within two weeks of surgery. I spoke with customer service twice because this was our first claim and I had questions and forgot to upload some required documents, and both times they had the sweetest reps working and helped me out to get our records corrected. It was obviously a stressful experience, but they made it so much easier! Absolutely recommend!
