Healthy Paws Insurance is reliable and has saved us so much money in veterinary bills!
I could not be more pleased with Healthy Paws Insurance. I carry this insurance on both my Maltese and have never had any problems. A few times I have called them to ask questions and everyone is knowledgeable and polite. My claims have been handled in a timely manner. I have even received email inquiries as to how my pet is doing after a sick visit with the vet!

I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to anyone who is looking for the very best insurance for their furry friends. This company is top notch and not only provides the best insurance coverage but also the absolute best service hands down. I have been using Healthy Paws since 2016 when the insurance company I had for my dog, Waylan wouldn't pay his claims after he was diagnosed with a rare platelet issue. I did some research on various insurance companies and found Healthy Paws to be the best. They not only took on all his claims going forward but paid them at 70% and didn't asked twice in regard to any other medical issues he had going forward. In July of this year Waylan passed away and I was so touched by the way Healthy Paws reached out to me not only via email but also with a sympathy card that truly showed they cared about my special little friend. In September of this year I was fortunate enough to be blessed and grateful once again that I have Healthy Paws as insurance for my furry cat friend, Julian. He became very sick and within a week ended up three days in the Urgent Care undergoing various tests and treatments to find out why his liver values were so high and to get to the bottom of why he wasn't eating. He recovered nicely while in Urgent Care and came out with a feeding tube but to my surprise and the doctors as well, he was eating on his own again three days after being released from the Urgent Care. The bill for his treatment was over $4200.00! Even without pet insurance I would have found a way to pay for his treatment but without missing a step Healthy Paws reviewed his treatment chart and medical records paying 90% of his bill +/- his exam, food and natural medicine treatments. They also followed up with me via email twice to make sure he was recovering and still responding to treatment. I felt it was time to write a review about Healthy Paws and all the great things they have done not only for my pets but for me as well!

Premiums go up every year
I started off with Healthy paws pet insurance because of a reasonable monthly rate of $55 dollars a month. My rates have jumped from $ 55 dollars a month to $111 Dollars going into 2021, I work in the insurance industry and this is unbelievable and concerning. Watch out for Healthy Paws is going to increase your rates every year. I am now shopping for new insurance for my pup. NOT HAPPY

Our service to date has been fine and I have no complaints from that perspective, but about a month after our Bernese’s first birthday, we received a letter stating that our monthly bill will be increased by 15%!! I called Trupanion to share my displeasure. The Trupanion representative was professional and explained that the increased cost was due to the increasing coverage costs. I requested to talk to the manager and was refused, and was notified that there was no one in management that I could speak with??!! Seems like they get you for the first year (the critical time to get pet insurance) and then start increasing your monthly costs after that first year…it’s dishonest and misleading.

I got insurance, my cat was sick and went to the vets. I filed a claim and absolutely nothing was covered. I have since files another claim for the death of my cat and now paying and extra months insurance for her because they take over a month to process claims. Go find other insurance this is a waste of time and money.

Healthy Paws is the BEST
I got Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for my rescue dog Tiger Lily when she was 3 years old. I had previous experience with other pet insurance, and knew I needed something better than what I had used with previous pets, so I did some research. It has been the best decision I have ever made. Tiger Lily was healthy and happy for years. Each year I would barely use the deductible. Maybe a couple of years there was a foxtail in her foot, or a gastro intestinal episode, and I would be glad I was able to submit a claim. Then, as she got older she developed allergies--and Healthy Paws has made it possible to get her monthly medications, and then there was an episode that landed her in the emergency room with a sludgy gallbladder diagnosis-- but it was an expensive ER visit. It gave me peace of mind to know that my insurance would cover it. Then she was diagnosed with a heart murmur, and I was relieved to be able to get an echocardiogram to see exactly what is going on. She developed arthritis, and I was able to get x-rays to verify this, and get her monthly medications to ease her pain, so she can still go on her "walkies". And recently she had an acute middle ear infection that wasn't immediately visible--my vet sent me to the doggy neurologist because she was acting like she had a stroke., but I had peace of mind knowing I had Healthy Paws to help me through this issue. Eventually it was determined she needed a procedure, a surgery, to clear out the fluid build up in her middle ear with a specialist... All through out this distressing health issue, the one thing I didn't have to stress about was whether or not my insurance would cover it. Without Healthy Paws, my special Tiger Lily would not have been able to receive the necessary medical care she needed. Healthy Paws does what they advertise, and they are there when you need them. If you have a pet, you need to get insurance for them. And Healthy Paws is the Best.
