Save your money
An absolute scam. My senior cat had a UTI this summer and an ER bill for $1300. They denied the claim stating the UTI is a "preexisting condition" because he has urinary crystals when there were no crystals present at the time of his ER visit and a UTI is a BACTERIAL INFECTION, completely unrelated and caused by grooming/ecoli. I worked as a vet assistant, in a vet hospital, and in animal welfare, I understand this condition and this is completely unrelated. For a human comparison, this is like going to the doctor for the flu and your insurance refusing to pay for the visit because you also have asthma. How can a cold or the flu be a preexisting condition??? They denied my claim, I filed an appeal, and they denied that, too, so I canceled my policy. For the $130/month I've paid for a year I could've paid his vet bill in cash instead of being out $1300 and having to deal with this. Save your time, energy, and money.

Navigating the claim process is EASY!!!
I truly love how EMBRACE makes the process of filing a claim super easy. The App design is phenomenal, easy to navigate and understand. It makes an often nebulous task actually easy and fast. I am very happy with EMBRACE, and have recommended them to my sister for her Labrador.

Such an easy process!
Such an easy process! I have had different pet insurance in the past but Nationwide's process to sign up and get started was so easy! And they accept whatever age of cat or dog. Not a lot of insurances allow older pets.

Don't Waste Your $ on Pet Insurance!
I insured my dog and cat for 12 years with Nationwide. I regret that I did. It was a waste of money. I never made a claim for the cat, but the dog had several surgeries after she turned 10. She had three benign tumors removed. Then she developed lymphoma and had a fourth surgery. Her ultimate, fatal condition was a trigeminal nerve sheaf tumor, which was inoperable. She died August 1. I paid them thousands of dollars over the years. Between $15,000-20,000 for the two animals. The reimbursements were a small fraction of my costs for care. At one point, she had a tumor removed from her eyelid. The bill: $3,500. The reimbursement: about $700. What's the point of paying for insurance when the coverage is so miniscule? I would have saved thousands of dollars by having no insurance at all.
