Thank you God and Trupanion for giving…
Thank you God and Trupanion for giving our 2 dogs another chance at life. Without Trupanion it would not had been possible. I am the proud owner of two beautiful angels, Max and Jack for part of their whole lives they were pretty healthy until they were not, they started aging and with it came the unfortunate cancer on both of them, I had got them insured with Trupanion who was recommended by our veterinarian hospital. They indeed have come through and have been a true companion of comfort knowing that my two boys are covered, with the best treatment. Trupanion has lived to what they promised and more. I am so grateful and I do recommend trupanion to everyone I come across that have dogs. Thank you, thank you thank you, can never thank you enough for being always there for my boys and being part of a new chance at their lives.

Beware of steep price hikes
I went with Healthy Paws years ago at least in part after reading reviews on Per Insurance Review. Unfortunately I've found myself progressively more dissatisfied overtime. Before I signed up they indicated to me that their annual price increases would be "manageable" and "easy to budget." Generally I would have agreed with that but this year alone received an increase of over 75% from the year prior - forcing me to decrease my coverage in order to fit our budget and am now up to 300-400% of my original rate. I'm honestly a bit worried how their increases will go from here on out. Response time has also gotten worse. In the past I received relatively quick responses to my inquiries but now I regularly have to resend my requests after weeks of no responses.

Was not pleased
My claim took a month to be processed. I have a dog that I got from a rescue and Figo decided that for this recent claim they needed vet records from before I got the dog. This took weeks. In the meantime while waiting on that vet to send the records, Figo closed/put the claim on hold and I had to keep texting and calling in order to find out the status and push Figo to continue to reach out to the vet for the records. The claim was then denied for the medication that was prescribed due to a pre-existing condition. This was not accurate however because although the medication was previously prescribed, this time it was for a completely different issue! Also, Figo has covered this medication for him before, so I didn't understand why there was a different result this time. I texted Figo once again and asked them why he wasn't covered for the medication due to this issue that he's only had since we started his policy. They said they would reach out and investigate why the claim was denied. They got back to me today and it was determined that the mediation is covered since it was prescribed for a new issue and not a pre-existing condition. If i had not continuously contacted Figo to repeatedly reach out to the vet and then contacted them again regarding my claim denial, my claim would probably still be closed without the correct action being taken.

I have two dogs and have had my pet insurance for each for 15 years. Before this insurance was taken over by Nationwide, I would get my claims reimbursement within a week. When Nationwide took over, it was taken a month plus for reimbursement which I thought was a little long, but did not complain. Since I never had an issue with any of my claims, I was okay with the timeframe. I noticed that the last two claims I submitted were reimbursed within days. Since I also signed up for your reimbursement via bank money transfer instead of check, and now the great turnaround time in claim reimbursements, I am really a happy camper. Can't ask for better service. Thank you. Thank you for taking care of my two pups.
