I love the foundation
I love the foundation. Who wouldn't, who couldn't. Unless you are the epitome of narcissism, the prelude of becoming a serial killer or just a plain hater of all that represents kindness and the practice of empathy towards that which cannot "fend for itself" at no fault of it's own ......then there is no excuse to rate this organization anything but 5 STARS plus. I find animals, of all kinds, a far better species than man and the ASPCA the greatest representatives of that species in all of mankind. And the insurance? Who else is there? You go to the experts on what your insuring....this case it's my little boy.

Best Choice I Made
I would repeat my decision to get Pets Best in a heartbeat. I got it when I got my 4 lb. Chihuahua/Basenji mix at 4 months old. She's now 4 and we had our first major vet experience. I was able to make the necessary decisions for her care because I knew she had coverage. The claims process took mere minutes and my bank had the check about a week later. There were no surprises.

Highly reccomend Healthy Paws!
I run an animal therapy organization and have relationships with hundreds of “Teams” (human and their dog) I have listened to the tales of many “pet insurance” coverages. Our family decided to select Healthy Paws for our animals and it’s proved to be a wonderful decision! This company and all of it’s agents have stood with us as we traversed the new-to-us world of veterinary medicine with a “special needs” puppy. The agents have laughed and cried with us and supported our efforts to give her her best life possible. Our claims are submitted, processed and settled within days of submission. Why can’t HUMAN insurance be handled this way??!!

they deny claims based on speculative information
We don't know exactly when a serious illness began with our dog, but Crum & Forester denied a claim of over $4,000, just under our policy limit, based on speculative information from several different veterinarians as to when the illness began. They are comparing symptoms experienced later with earlier to claim this was a pre-existing condition and thus a basis for denying the claim. It took 3 months after submitting the claim and chasing them for reimbursement. After contacting them again this morning, I was told we would not be receiving reimbursement and that they had determined based on what they felt were similar symptoms that they would be denying the claim. This is bad faith, the Colorado insurance commission will know about it.

I signed up for Healthy Paws when I…
I signed up for Healthy Paws when I brought my labrador puppy home from the breeder. I bought pet insurance because, a few months earlier, my niece had purchased a mini australian shepherd puppy who got very sick and nearly died. Their pet insurance helped them get the proper care for their sick puppy. I signed up for Healthy Paws and I am so glad I did. When my puppy was 7 months old we discovered a growth on her gums. It ended up being Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a rare cancer for puppies. She required major surgery to remove the mass, a few teeth and part of her jaw. The surgery was very expensive. I submitted the veterinarian expense forms to Healthy Paws and within days they approved and reimbursed me for most of the cost. The Healthy Paws team even reached out to check up on my puppy. I am so grateful for Healthy Paws. Hopefully all of the cancer was removed and thanks to the Sage Center Veterinarians and Healthy Paws my puppy will live a full normal life.
