Would not own a dog without Trupanion
We are on our 3rd and 4th dogs now on this insurance. Three of our prior dogs have needed expensive orthopedic surgeries and/or cancer treatments. This insurance has allowed us to give our dogs the best care possible. I would not own a dog without Trupanion insurance.

If I could give Trupanion zero stars I would. For the past 5 years of having Trupanion it has been nothing but a hassle and stress. I would rather not have insurance through them because you end up paying for everything despite having coverage. They try every loophole to not pay you. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Happy we chose Healthy Paws insurance for our puppy
We chose Healthy Paws (Chubb) insurance for our newly-adopted puppy in October 2020 because we read many positive reviews of the company. Its plans and prices made sense to us, as well. Six months later, we've very happy with the choice we made. Unfortunately, our puppy has had some unforeseen medical issues and has required surgery as a result. He's well on the road to recovery, but it helped his owners to know that Healthy Paws was there to provide the coverage and reimbursement we had counted on. Their customer service, both through the website and via live representatives, has been excellent and they've processed our claims quickly and fairly. That's all you can ask of an insurance company.

I feel confident with Trupanion and…
I feel confident with Trupanion and ensuring my precious Parker is well taken care of if any medical needs were to arise . Cost of vet bills can be a lot and at all at once, having pet insurance gives me a sense of security that if something were to happen, I wouldn’t have to worry about large vet bills and concentrate on taking care of his medical needs instead. Every time I’ve called in, the reps are great in answering any questions and are so informative !

I wouldn't bother with this insurance…
I wouldn't bother with this insurance company! Be very AWARE of ANY pre existing conditions! Like if they sneeze - nothing relating to a sneeze will be covered EVEN if it wasn't related to what originally caused the sneezing!! For example If your pet had a chest infection and that was the Pre-existing condition fine but if you bring them back to the vet and they have a viral cold and are sneezing because of that - then that is considered pre-exsisting because they sneezed! Even though it is 2 different prescriptions and 2 different diagnoses. Save the $$ that you would pay in premiums to cover any vet bills would be my suggestion!

The process for filing a claim was very easy and the company came through wonderfully. I had switched to pumpkin from another insurance just this year for my 3 Great Danes. I found them to be affordable and have very good coverage compared to other insurances. You never want to have to use insurance, but when you do I am grateful I found Pumpkin!!
