Helpful, Considerate Employee
I called Trupanion in order to clear a problem that I was having regarding he payment plan that is new to Trupanion. Spoke to Scout who was very helpful and he promised to look into the matter. I will know for sure if my problem was resolved when I visit my Vet again in 2 weeks.

They will take any opportunity to not refund your claim
I understood that preexisting conditions would not be covered when I started a policy with my year old lab. He had gone to the vet once before for hot spots. Which can be caused for a number of reasons but my vet rightfully put "could possibly be due to allergies". When my dog visited again, as an effective member, he had an ear infection. Vet's Best would not cover the $220 bill because they claimed that ear infections are allergies and he has a note on his chart for having allergies. I absolutely cant believe they tried so hard to find a way NOT to cover us. Dont trust them! If you're going to buy then buy as a puppy.

Took a tremendous amount of stress and worry out of an already stressful and worrisome situation. It was such a relief to know that a very costly procedure could be authorized because we've opted for Trupanion. They made it so easy to utilize during the vet stay.

I have just signed up so I can't do much of a review at this time but will return after using it. I do so like the idea of choosing my deductible and payment. The fact that the deductible is lifetime is a big help and the premiums don't increase each year the pet gets older. These features are a great help to older people on a fixed income that really wants a pet.
