Smooth sailing with the claim process
Trupanion staff helped me throughout the process - To ensure I did everything correctly, I was literally chatting with them on IM while my cat was being treated for urgent symptoms. Everything they confirmed on this chat was accurate and something I could easily follow going forward. In each step of the way, they were also making sure my cat was recovering which I thought was adorable. The claim process was easy and fast. I especially appreciated the updates via txt message. This made the process transparent to me and left no questions. Would recommend Trupanion for pet insurance!

I'm extremely disappointed with the refund services of Pet's Best. Repay is awfully slow and I set up my account to receive refund through my checking account as was suggested for quicker turn around. I got a message that something went wrong with automatic refund going automatically into my account. It appears there's a deliberate attempt to prolong refunds.

Horrible service 30+ days and nothing
STAY AWAY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!Save your money and go with Nationwide or a bigger company. I paid for my dogs insurance for months, submitted a claim and it wasn’t even looked at 30 days later. Not one email from pets best nothing at all just the same status as the very first day i submitted it. They won’t reimburse anything and tell you it’s a staffing shortage issue.

This is a total scam
Pet's Best is a scam. Their BBB ratings are terrible. I canceled my policy and they charged me anyway. Then when I notified them, they refunded me for the portion of the month "they covered." They shouldn't have charged me at all since I had canceled. The reason I canceled is because my dog isn't covered unless I've paid for a $1,400 dental exam and cleaning. That is not clear at all in the policy. Their customer service is unresponsive and incapable of listening and can't solve problems. I have asked them for a full refund but they won't respond.

I'm So Glad I Chose Embrace
I've had dogs my whole life, but have never had insurance. When I adopted an adult dog from a high kill shelter earlier this year I decided to research insurance for her. I ultimately chose Embrace as it seemed the smartest way to go and I was right! My dog began dealing with a health issue and Embrace has been super supportive. Claims are settled quickly and they have covered everything. I can't say enough about how glad I am that I chose insurance and that I chose Embrace. Having this insurance has allowed me to really give my dog the second chance she deserves.
