This is the first time we had major expenses with our dog. I was very surprised with the reimbursement coverage and the timely manner in which we received it.

Not a happy camper! Trupanion wins...client loses..

I have been paying Trupanion a lot of money for a lot of years! I also bought into the added care package including chiropractic care. I guess after all the years of paying out I forgot the stipulation that they require ANY chiropractic treatment to be from a veterinarian. I took my dog to a registered, licensed, regulated Animal Chiropractor, who unfortunately is not a veterinarian. Therefore .... None of it is covered! There is no reason why this specialized care isn't acceptable! They have the credentials and the expertise and the training.. They should be covered! I don't know of any veterinarian that is doing chiropractic adjustments in this area. My own vet recommends chiropractors that are not veterinarians! This doesn't make sense and I think it's outdated. But... that's the way it is... not happy with you Trupanion! AND why is it when I just recently spoke to one of your client care people about the chiropractic care she NEVER mentioned or asked if the Chiropractor was a veterinarian? Why didn't she mention that? She looked at the slip I sent in and said it should be fine and be covered! NEVER asked if the person was a veterinarian... Second point: Re: your reporting of claims paid: If I look at a claim.. or what was paid or not.. it only shows me the total amt of money claimed, dealt with. There is no mention of what exactly is being claimed! Is it for medication? is it for surgery? is it for other services? It should be stated so the client sees exactly what is being covered or rejected. Please 'up your game'..... Be more transparent NOT HAPPY WITH YOU TODAY

The very BEST Pet Insurance and remarkable kind and quick claim handling.

We cannot say enough good things about Trupanion Pet Insurance. Twice this year one of our Goldens racked up pretty hefty emergency surgery charges. Trupanion staff, reviewed, reconciled and paid us for our claim--both times--within three days. Every premium penny we've spent (extremely reasonable premiums) has been money well spent. We have referred others to Trupanion and will continue to do so.

I have used Pets Best for many years and the only thing I have been disappointed with is the long delay in receiving my reimbursement checks.

So relieved to have this wonderful insurance for our new puppy

I’m so relieved that we purchased this pet insurance for our new puppy. It was so easy to acquire the policy we wanted and set up an online account. Submitting a claim for puppy’s vet exam and vaccinations was soooo easy. We received a claim reimbursement so fast. Setting up a direct deposit claim reimbursement was easy and will be especially convenient. We’re very delighted with our choice of Pets Best and will definitely recommend them to friends and family!

False Advertising and Inaccurate Representations

I called a representative of Best in order to determine the policy that would cover what I needed for my puppy. I was told I would need an endorsement to my plan to get my puppy’s neutering covered. I waited to schedule his procedure for a few weeks after I obtained the policy to make sure it would be covered. However, when I submitted my claim, it was denied! I was told that I obtained the wrong endorsement and no effort was made to determine how that occurred or to work with me to figure out a solution. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this company to anyone.

How you made the top 10 in pet insurance?

Only getting a star because it's required not because it's earned. My son recently submitted two claims for our dogs, both of which were denied. How you acquired a spot in the top ten for pet insurance is beyond me. You don't cover well visits, which I find absurd. And now that the claims will be held on file, my pup that had a cyst checked you'll list it as a preexisting condition and have the right to deny any claims again. The policy is under my sons name, Michael Giuliano. The dogs are Maggie and Gypsy. Maggie was in for a well visit. And Gypsy was the one that had the cyst issue. I just have to ask, since both claims were denied and you now have a record of the cysts, are they going to be considered a pre existing condition that you can deny again? If you could let me know about that I would appreciate it, because I don't want any additional surprises.
