You people are the BEST! Our English bulldog tore her right rear ACL and you folks covered it (after deductible). As a matter of fact, when we took our bully to her orthopedist, he noticed that we were carrying a Trupanion folder and he said thank heaven we had your service because it's simply the best service out there. Speedy Reimbursement
Submitting Trupanion claims is easy and the review process and reimbursement is quick and efficient. The turnaround for claims is a matter of days, and often reimbursement is within the week. Can't beat that!

Fantastic Insurance
We signed up for Trupanion because we just got a new puppy for our 3 year old Golden Retriever to play with and our vet said this was great insurance. We thought it would be a good idea since we didn't want to eventually have to make a very tough decision about our pet's health over medical bills. Well, little did we know, 2 months after we signed up my 3 year old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with terminal Lymphoma. We were devestated. We never thought we would be faced with this in such a young dog. It was only a few weeks after our 30 day waiting period was over and we thought Trupanion may not pay the claim. Not only did they pay 90% on most of the $1500 of bills we ran up with our primary vet, they also paid for the chemotherapy treatments, over $850, a few days later. What is a very difficult time for our family was made a little easier knowing that Trupanion was right by our side to help with the medical bills. They have no lifetime or per incident caps, you can use any vet you like and they pay based on what the vet bills you, not based on a pre-determined schedule. On top of everything else they paid both claims within a couple of days. I can't get that with my own health insurance. They have a customer for life. As a result we are going to add our cat to the policy as well. We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants some peace of mind especially when a life threatening illness strikes. Trupanion is TRUe!
I didn't have pet insurance when I lost two members of my family (chihuahuas Boo and Ace) in a house fire and had to pay out thousands of dollars to an emergency hospital. Recently, I welcomed two new members in to my family (9 week old chihuahuas Rex and Jackson), and I knew that pet insurance was something I needed to look in to. My local Vet recommended Trupanion, and I am very grateful that they did. One of my puppies (Rex) was admitted to an emergency hospital for a terrible seizure, and it cost over $4,000.00 for the hospitalization, stabilization, MRI, cerebral-spinal fluid tap...etc. My claim was submitted, and in a little over a week my claim had been reviewed and a check for over $3,900.00 was on its way to me. I was reimbursed 90% as promised! Knowing that I have such a reliable pet insurance makes it easier to know that I can do what needs to be done for the sake of my pet. Loving your pet can be a crime with high and unreasonable costs of hospitals and vet clinics, but with Trupanion loving your pet is honored and stress-free. I have to send out a special thanks to Trupanion because without them, Rex wouldn't be here, and that means Jackson wouldn't have his brother, and our family wouldn't be complete. Straight from the Veterinary Assistant's Mouth
Working for a veterinary clinic I am all too aware of how expensive veterinary care can become and how quickly it all adds up. When my dog contracted a strain of leptospirosis not covered by the vaccine a year and a half ago and ended up in renal failure with permanent kidney damage do I ever wish I had known about Trupanion. Once learning about them I did sign up right away. Although they do not cover my pups pre-existing kidney condition they have since covered close to a thousand dollars in diagnostics for a new problem. Also going above and beyond when I challenged a rejected submittal they provided a 3rd party review and paid out for the claim. I have only had the insurance for about 5 months and have not seen any increase in my premium.I will never be without pet insurance again, I have learned my lesson and will stay a Trupanion customer for all my future pets.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
