Amazing!!!

I researched many different pet insurance companies before I decided on Trupanion. They are by far the best around an I havent been disaappointed yet. We have an English Bulldog and they are prone to have many different health issues, but Trupanion overs the best all around coverage by far. Claims are expedited fast and efficiently. One of the most amazing things to date was when we lost our last little bully they actually sent a condolence card that was HAND WRITTEN. It meant that we werent just another customer, that they truly do care. Thank You Trupanion!

Something to be thankful for

Waking up on Thanksgiving morning I never expected to find ourt Gracie with a very swollen eye/face and obviously very sick. Since our normal vet was closed we hasd to take her to a 24 hour emergency clinic. My initial thoughts of concern for Gracie also were consummed with the fear of the cost of the treatment. Remembering we were covered by Trupanion quickly gave me releif and allowed me to focus strickly on getting Gracie well again. Trupanion paid as stated in our policy and Gracie recovered after follow-up care with our vet over the course of a few weeks. Something to truly be thankful for!

Quick response on claims

My 8 month old English Bulldog (Gov'nor) developed demodectic mange, "Puppy mange" caused by those pesty little mites. He developed this around 4 months of age. He has required medicated baths every 2 weeks. Trupanion responded very quickly to my claims--and paid out at 90% (less exams). This is my first experience with Trupanion and I would recommend them to anyone who has a pet. I thought I would never need to use the claim service--but I did and couldn't be more pleased. If you read the policy you will get what you pay f

It really irks me to read some comments about premium costs and that the insurance dosn't pay for exam fees, teeth cleaning, shots...Did these people not read the policy. Trupanion's policy is so simply and very easy to understand. If you are looking for that type of coverage there are plans out there that cover teeth cleaning and shots and exam fees. Don't bash because you didn't read the policy. My kitty had cancer and Trupanion paid 90% of her cost with no deductible. They paid over $15,000. So what if I had to pay a couple of $50 exam fees. Big deal. Trupanion paid a whopping about and I have my kitty today because I was able to get her the best state of the art treatment due to the fact I had Trupanion paying 90%. I submitted a claim every week for over 12 weeks, never was one lost or messed up. This is a great insurance. I am so thankful to have had it. It really bothers me when people leave negative reviews because they didn't do their homework. Trupanion does exactly what they say they will do!

Life Saver

I know sometimes reading these reviews you wonder is this a real person...well I am. I insured my kitty Jezebel with Trupanion in January 2010. In June 2010 she was diagnosed with vaccine related fibrosarcome cancer (very large tumor on her right hip). Trupanion has paid over $15,000 to date for Jezebel's surgery, chemotherapy, radiation treatments and checkups. She finished treatment in October and is doing so great. I faxed my claim to Theresa (my claims rep) on Monday and had a check in the mail by Saturday. Trupanion is the BEST ever! Jezebel thinks so too.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
