Great Company!

I'm very happy with Trupanion as our pet's insurance provider. Over the years, we have had 4 pets (dogs) registered with them, and each time they have been very helpful & polite on the phone, and the claims have been paid out correctly and on time in each instance. This has allowed us to give each of our pets the best possible care without concern about potential costs. I would highly recommend Trupanion!

HAPPY CUSTOMER

I HAVE HAD TRUPANION FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW AND THIS YEAR IS THE FIRST I HAVE REALLY NEEDED IT. MY sHIH TZU "ULI" SUDDENLY COLLAPSED. AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE TRUPANION FAILED TO TELL ME ABOUT HOW THE DEDUCTIBLE REALLY WORKED. THEN I CALLED AND TALKED TO A VERY NICE AND VERY INFORMATIVE REPRESENTIVE. SHE HELPED ME WITH OTHER OPTIONS THAT WAS AVAILABLE FOR THE DEDUCTIBLES, I AM HAPPY WITH THE OVER ALL RESULT AND DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND TRUPANION TO OTHER DOG AND CAT OWNERS.

Fair-

This was my first claim. I am going to pursue a review. I am being told that conjunctivitis is the se as cherry eye and I do not agree. I will have to wait to see how things go in the future. I have not had to use it for accidents.

Trupanion takes some of the burden away.

We added a new Maltese puppy to our family and at the age of 6 1/2 months she was diagnosed with a rare congenital skull malformation syndrome called Chiari-like malformation. She required surgery on her skull and cervical vertebra to relieve pressure on her brain and spinal cord. Trupanion helped the financial burden which also helped to support us as we had to make some difficult decisions. Misty will be on medication for a very long time and may never be medication free. Trupanion gives us the reassurance that we will be able to cover the cost of these medications which will give Misty a good quality of life, pain free.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
